Through Dota 2 I also gained an interest in e-sports. After I graduated I even looked for a job in e-sports for a while, but I guess we all know how hard it is to find something that isn't voluntary, and I was already doing that.
Now that I'm working every day, any free time I have has suddenly become something to treasure, something holy. When I get home I usually try to get a Dota 2 game going as soon as possible, and this often works. It's not enough, however.
Although my job is by no means annoying or boring, I do find myself with the urge, the need to do something different from what I do at work. I feel like I need to prove to myself that my job does not define me. Hence this blog. It may sound silly but I feel that starting a blog here might make me feel more connected to the e-sports scene that I feel I've left behind due to my new job. If nothing else, it will give me the entertaining opportunity to read my own ramblings when I'm old and grey.
Why teamliquid?
Well I must admit I never used to visit here much, but I was of course aware this site existed. I dont remember exactly how I came upon the blog section, I think it was linked on reddit. Anyhow, teamliquid's blog section seems to be a free for all, take it or leave it, come as you please sort of affair. Sounds like the perfect place if you ask me.
I'm going to try to write something every day/every other day, and any and all blogs by me will probably relate to Dota 2 in some way.
Until next time.
