Why almost everyone in India talked to me about French Revolution and Freedom (singing La Marseillaise occasionally) when they learned that I was French (i.e., after they asked me if I was married and/or have children), whereas most of Canadians and Americans talked about cuisine and/or my bad accent ? | ||

But this is the first I'm hearing of it...people in the north east are weird, must be to compensate for the beauty of the land.
