My wonderful friend and teammate Starry got some friends and I a groupon deal for this tactical shooting place. So on Sunday my teammate Starry and I got shot the fuck up! There were 6 of us altogether, 3 guys and 3 girls. Going in I was super excited and nervous! When we first arrived we sat in a room to sign paperwork that basically said if we got injured they were not liable for injury. Trust me, we got injured!

We were introduced to our 2 guides and split up into 2 groups of course it was guys vs girls. When we got split up I thought to myself , "Sweet Baby Jesus , please help us!" Only because I know that 1 of the guys plays CS on a regular basis, another one used to play CS, and the third is an avid gun lover. I have never shot a real gun , let alone an airsoft gun before in my life. I also found out the key to not getting hurt is layers, lots of layers. I wore a cami, a long sleeve shirt, a long sleeve hoodie, and a jacket. The top part of my body was completely fine the entire time. The pain was mostly in my thighs and I then realized I should've definitely layered more on the lower half of my body.

We then got geared up. We were supplied with helmets, vests, and holsters. After I was geared up I felt safer and a lot more confident. We put our personal belongings in the lockers and headed out onto the battlefield! YELP! We approached this desk where we got our choice of M4 or AK , a pistol, and 2 mags. We were escorted to a tent where they showed us how to reload the rifles, pistols, and went over safety tips. Then we were sent out on the battlefield!

The first challenge was to shoot at targets which returned fire while moving using various sandbags, barrels, and spools to take cover as you try to reach the end of the course. With the smoke machine , obstacles, and targets that shoot back it was very hard to shoot the targets while trying to reach the end of the course! On our first round through the course our friend was #1 so she was the first in line to move forward to reach the end of the course, Starry was #2 , and I was #3 I think. #1 's first position was hiding behind sandbags, #2 was hiding behind barrels and #3 was hiding behind spools! We dodged and shot our way through the end of the course then we had to turn around and go back the way we came with the targets turned on again! On the way back I took a couple shots to the top of my noggin ;( but it only hurt for a brief moment.

The second challenge was the 3 of us had to clear 4 different situations S.W.A.T. style. The first person had to kick in the door, while the 2nd person clear right , and the third left. Also, we had to hold these fucking big plastic shields and a baby flashlight too. Trying to fire at shooting targets while trying to aim and hold these things was freakin hard! The first room was designated as the crack house. There were 3 bad guys in the crack house hiding in various spots in the room. The bad guys would pop up and fire back at us. I went into the 2nd part of the first room first and I am glad I had my shield up because I was standing directly in front of the damn thing and the shield was getting bombarded with bullets! The second scenario was a classroom hostie situation. We had to take down the bad guys without harming the teacher or the students! They had rows of desks and a student held up at gun point. The third scenario was a convenience shop that was being robbed and the bad guys were hiding in the loading dock. I almost shot the store clerk by accident. The fourth and final scenario was a 2 story house that had a break and entering occur moments before we arrived. Clearing the living room and other rooms on the bottom floor was a piece of cake. I found the hard part to be when we had to climb up the stairs with our shields out and clear the upper part of the 2 story room.

The last challenge is where we had to play capture the flag against the boys -.- . They went in the room by room scenario before us so while we were still in there they spent the entire time working on their strategy to take us out. We arrived and they let us choose which side to be on there was one side with lots of objects to hide behind. The other side had a house and objects for cover. We chose the side with the house pictured below. We didn't notice this till after we got stomped but we realized that there was a huge bright light shining on everything and the side with just the objects was very very dark so they had the advantage.

When we got hit which fucking hurt like we had to go into the ambulance for a minute. Once we were in the ambulance we were in no hurry to get out. At one point I think all 3 of us were in the ambulance at the same time. We did not manage to capture 1 of the 3 flags. We mixed up the teams but no one was eager to get hit after feeling the pain lol!

We stopped shortly after when my bf slid, ripped his jeans, leaving his boxers hanging out for the world to see. At the end , we were awarded our Rookie dog tags. Everyone asked what we were before Rookies and the lady responded, "Recruits". lol!
It was fun for the most part except the welts/bruises and the pain! I couldn't see myself doing this every weekend as a hobby. So I think I will just stick to CS:GO the game.
Thanks! moXie <3

CS: GO is awesome! And so is paintball. I didn't remember it hurting that much tho. Except when I got hit in the back of my neck, that hurt like a bitch.

I haven't tried paintball but I am sure the pain can compare to those darn airsoft guns! I got hit in the head but the part that hurt the most was the bullets hitting the thighs. One of my friends got hit in the neck it looked like it was going to bleed! lol! good times

You guys should do paintball, airsoft hurts like a bitch. I've gotten hit in the neck in paintball and I felt like I was dying LOL.

Played the same type of game in Austria, in the forest. Different game modes like deathmatch, or capture the flag. We had uniforms, protective gear and such. Some people even brought smoke grenades lol. We played with a group we didn't know but we were like, 15-20 people in total.
A group started at a top position, the other at a bottom one. It was more or less a rising strip of land, with two rivers at the sides. There were bunkers and shit in the middle, but you could also cross the river at the beginning of the game and attack from the side or from behind, and in certain spots in the middle there were "landmines" + Show Spoiler +.
Played with biodegradable airsoft ammo. Didn't hurt that badly but it only hit me on clothes and goggles. Wasn't as organized as your experience with the swat stuff I'd say.

It was $120 for the 6 of us. My friend found a deal on groupon. We were supplied with everything even the pain! lol! :D

So paintball doesn't hurt as much as airsoft? LOL!

In my experience, airsoft stings more, and paintball is more like an impact. The worst paintball hits I've taken were 1) Adam's apple and 2) Arm pit. I have only been paintballing like 4 or 5 times, but I am always the lucky one that gets the nasty lingering bruise.
I have not had the opportunity to do what the OP did--that seems amazing--but I have been shot by a fully auto airsoft MP-5 at about 20 yards range (voluntarily). About 8-10 shots hit me in the back in about a second. It stung like crazy and the skin was red, but it didn't leave any bruise or welt. The pain went away much quicker, but for a couple of seconds it was VERY intensely painful.
When my friends and I were young and dumb we used to have bbgun wars trespassing out in an oak forest that has since become a subdivision. We had a 1 pump rule, but every once in a while someone would get mad and add a couple of extra pumps (not me--I used an underpowered but quick and reliable spring powered red-rider). One of my friends had to use a pocket knife to dig a bb out of another's forehead. That same friend (who took the forehead shot) still has a bb floating in his hand (or he did last year when I talked to him). Most of us wore paintball masks or lab goggles. I was deathly terrified of taking a shot to the face, so I wore one of those full face shields riot police/groundskeepers who weed-eat use.
The fun ended one day when my little brother's friend took a shot to the mouth that shattered one of his teeth, which, in rage, he spit in a bloody mess on the shooter. We are lucky that it never got worse than that--we all have both eyes.

Wow that sounds like fun, but a little crazy too...
I've only done paintball once, during which I spent lots of time wandering around the forest and hiding...when I thought someone was nearby I'd just hide behind a tree or stump or something and shoot at them until I ran out of ammo or got shot... Pretty neat to get a a little first-hand experience of what a SWAT team goes through, I had no idea companies like this existed.
