When something happens that makes me get emotional, I write a verse about how I'm feeling. Music truly is my therapy throughout life lol. I don't have time to record every verse I write, but I figured I'd record this one because it meant a lot to me, and I didn't want it to go to waste.

Best kind of girl blog. Shit happens but it looks like you've got a really healthy release there in your poetry. Very impressive. I'm sure the next girl will be similarly impressed with those skills.

That was very impressive! Breath control is one of the things in rap that seem purely impossible to me. How do you deal with all the saliva that builds up in your mouth when you don't get a break?

You know the song "The Love Song" by K-os? For the long section there(starts with "lyrical optometrist with 20/20 vision") I've attempted it probably 20 times but never managed to make it through 100%. You did a much harder one than that with no trouble, and that seriously amazes me.

Breath control is something you have to kind of consider after you finish writing. For example: When I said

But old relations, Partially leave/
I try to forget but I harbor these things/
I try to escape but its hard to get free/
I try to get sleep but it haunts me in dreams/

If you notice during the live session I didn't say the "I's at the beginning of the last 2. The tiny tiny break in syllable allowed me to catch my breath just long enough to make it to the middle part of "Heart on my sleeve" and "Swollen and damaged".

I have not heard that song, until I just checked it out now lol. It's not as difficult once you've been doing it for awhile. Once you really feel the beat, and you practice...it becomes easier. Sometimes I have to rap a verse out loud 30 times until I get it down.
