calories in and out is real
Secondly, it's obvious that past that point there is a psychological barrier to losing weight.
Yet knowing this, people then brand them as "lazy" and "undisciplined" and you strike them down at the knees. Shame on you.
I'm sure a lot of fat people ARE lazy and undisciplined. This doesn't change the fact that they are almost certianly having psychological issues with overcoming their weight, and this is the ultimate primary factor, and you are only adding to the problem.
Isn't it obvious? The OP got over his psychological issues with weight and as a result it became easy for him to reach his target weight.
And in order to get over the psychological problems with weight, similar to depression, is first being accepting of one self.
It is almost to the point that for some people, they will never lose weight if they cannot psychologically accept themself without feeling guilty for being fat
So to those of you out there who want to help other people lose weight, stfu with your "lazy" and "undisciplined" talk. It doesn't help. Because by saying these things, what if they DONT lose a lot of weight? It's not an easy task after all. Then you affirm that "well therefore this person is unmotived, lazy, undisciplined and has no self control". Which is total BS of course, none of that is necessarily true (nor untrue).
It's people saying things like this that put down people who are fat and make it so difficult for them to lose weight because you destroy their self worth in the first place.
So to all you people out there who want to lose weight:-
You may be fat, but thats OK. You would like to lose weight, and if you don't lose the weight immediately, thats OK. You want to lose weight so you will keep trying hard to do so.
If it doesn't work at first, this doesn't make you "lazy" or a "bad person". You have to accept that it might not work as easy as it does for others, and thats OK.
Meanwhile, we will cheer you on. For it is people with THIS mindset that are the most likely to lose their weight and achieve their goals. OP shows this case and point.
