Nobody is truly a "nice guy", every person has his/her good and bad qualities, and you judge them depending on your own values. What is a quality for me can very well be a flaw for another person. Knowing this alone is equally important as distancing ourselves from the public idea of how a person should be and it also allows to know and express ourselves better. I always dared to express myself to seek confrontation, about anyone and anything, no matter the resistance, and if people don't like it screw them. You don't have time in your life to listen to a mass of random people who mean nothing to you. As long as you don't hate for no purpose seeking confrontation is always positive.

Question, would you say any human being could become pro with just enough practise, or is talent a huge factor?

I am gifted with an incredible memory, a great hand coordination and I'm really fast with mouse and keyboard, and yet I still lose in tournaments to players who don't have any of these qualities but just put an incredible amount of passion and hard work into what they do. Anybody can be successful, not having talent is just an excuse for the losers.

By contrast, some of the nicest people in the scene are barely known and recognized by fans; ...aaand now I'm paranoid. Great. Just minutes ago, I was happy in my conviction that Sheth is a mannerbear, White-Ra is the nicest Ukrainian ever, Incontrol is a baller, Grubby is polite as heck, Artosis loves the game and that Day[9] is the best thing to happen to SC2 to date. But not anymore! Nope, thanks to this blog, the nice guys are the evil ones and the controversial ones are the ones who aren't acting. But there are actually nice people in the world so maybe two or three of the nice guys are awesome and being controversial gets you attention so maybe some of the controversial guys are pretending to be controversial when they're actually nice guys IRL, but maybe those guys are really mean on the inside, act nice to everyone they know IRL and act mean to the public to get views and money. Fuck me. Sheth rarely says mean things directly but If you watch his stream enough he does a sort of sarcastic bm, like he will lose a game and he thinks its bullshit so he will say something like, Oh well that was nice in a sarcastic tone. White-Ra barely speaks english and probably can be a asshole at times nobodys a saint Incontrol if you watch SOTG or Inside the Game you can see him being the opposite of a baller Artosis plays some starcraft but not as much as he likes to portray and his actual skill is pretty low Day[9] Is his own brand and makes money that way, he rarely casts at tournaments because of the big price they have to play. He frequently gets paid to do viral marketing on his stream by playing some games. I remember a weird fantasy mmo that a bunch of streamers were payed to play. Grubby again is just making a image for the sake of branding and he can be asshole You really should not idolize people so much. The saint Mother Teresa ending up being a big fraud and anybody can have a ego or be a asshole or do things for their best interests.

Can you give us some insight into the german scene and the german players (goody, socke, TLO, Hasuobs, xlord, delpi etc)? Why did you decide to switch to protoss (and not to Zerg e.g.)? Because of your bw protoss background? If you look at the balance, it looks like protoss was most of the time underpowered. http://aligulac.com/periods/ If it keeps that way Zerg would be the best option. In general I have to say the german top players didn't leave me a good impression. It felt like whenever you give them advice they will try to capitalize on it without giving much back and some of them are very sneaky and untrustworthy. One I really respect and stands out from others is Darkforce. That guy is so honest that I can't help but feel appreciation towards him. Xlord is really funny, but even though I met him a lot I can't say I know much of him, he seems a really reserved person when it comes to private matters. I will switch to Protoss for two reasons. First I think Protoss is extremely easy to play in WoL and this won't change in HotS. Second is the distorted way David Kim talks about balance when he releases interviews. He said that it was ok for Zerg to be dominant for some months since Terran was the best in Korea at the beginning, and now that we had a complete Zerg dominance in the past year they will most likely focus on Protoss more. I garantuee you you will fail as protoss for a long time because of 2 reasons (im midgm btw): 1. Different production cycles, you're used to being able to queue units whenever you like, now you will have to learn to warpin exactly when your production cycle has just finished. 2. Forcefields, they actually take skill, and before you're any good with them you will be losing nonstop. But I love you anyways, your casting has always been simply awesome.
