Glad to hear you're doing well, ClouD.

One question: what was the first that you ate after returning to Italy?

edit: I miss Italy.

Damn me2, should´ve totally stayed there when I had the chance. But life is sometimes misterious and shit.
Anyways good blog Cloud! I hope to recover as you did, it´s really helpful to know people climbed out of the pit .
Good Luck in Italy! And will we maybe see a oSc.Cloud soon?

Hi Cloud, never really followed you but I like this thread very much!

I'm wondering if being a SC2-progamer also makes you more cynical and susceptible to other people. The progame environment sounds cold and unpleasant, not to say the Internet haters will always flame the players which must make you feel the world is against you. What do you do to keep yourself "human" and how do you ignore those comments?

Also, one question unrelated to the former two ones: What skills or competences do you think you can bring with you to any non-eSports career should you ever decide to retire?

Thanks!

e.g. tell me what TLO did to you, because right now you just look like a sore loser who calls out a player to be 'bad and fake' just to get stomped by him the next time you meet.

The same goes for the rest of the german scene: You probably don't even realize how much you profited by Take and the german 'gang' in your e-sports career.
Take gave you a possibility to cast and therefore get media exposure and if all those EPS guys would be so mean they wouldn't have helped you to get into the german scene at all, i mean you are semi-living in Germany for quite a while know and you can't speak much german yet ( at least you always cast in english ).

Feel free to defend yourself, if you give me proof for your hate I'm ok with being wrong

Dear god, how can you put all "germans" in one pot, TaKe is TaKe and the players are single persons for themselves, no matter what nationality they have. He was living here 2 years, and lets go for 2 years to italy and then cast for the guys down there in italian gogo, show me your skill .... The sad problem is that the fail is not at him, it´s the german community since at least 70% of them suck at english, a language they learn in school and still fail at it . ClouD said nothing about hate, i guess he never would say that, you either like or dislike ppl for some reasons.
As he said, he had a great time in Germany with ups and downs and believe me he is a really grateful guy and knows what TaKe did for him.

Can you give us some insight into the german scene and the german players (goody, socke, TLO, Hasuobs, xlord, delpi etc)?

Why did you decide to switch to protoss (and not to Zerg e.g.)?
Because of your bw protoss background?
If you look at the balance, it looks like protoss was most of the time underpowered.
http://aligulac.com/periods/
If it keeps that way Zerg would be the best option.

In general I have to say the german top players didn't leave me a good impression. It felt like whenever you give them advice they will try to capitalize on it without giving much back and some of them are very sneaky and untrustworthy. One I really respect and stands out from others is Darkforce. That guy is so honest that I can't help but feel appreciation towards him. Xlord is really funny, but even though I met him a lot I can't say I know much of him, he seems a really reserved person when it comes to private matters.

I will switch to Protoss for two reasons. First I think Protoss is extremely easy to play in WoL and this won't change in HotS. Second is the distorted way David Kim talks about balance when he releases interviews. He said that it was ok for Zerg to be dominant for some months since Terran was the best in Korea at the beginning, and now that we had a complete Zerg dominance in the past year they will most likely focus on Protoss more.

Once again read the freaking thread before posting bullshit.

At the beginning they get to you because you are not used to them, but after a while you realize that when people are in a group, even the very smart ones, they tend to conform to a level of intelligence that fits everybody, which is usually really low. Being able to filter the useful and the useless comments is an ability every progamer in the spotlight gets and we usually ignore the haters or the people writing on TL and Reddit altogether (I actually found out about Reddit about a year ago and after that I've never wanted to open that website again). I think being a progamer makes you very in touch with your humanity because it comes along many intense feelings and you are always forced to communicate with people to make it work.
The skills I gained from this experiences are so important that I am actually confident I can succeed in anything I will do in my life from now on. I learned the importance of trusting myself, hard work, who I really am and who I want to be, how to communicate with different kinds of people more efficiently and many more incredibly useful life skills. This has been by far the most useful life experience I've ever had and only made me grow up both on a personal and professional level.

I am really interested in hearing of other "fake" people. :-)
You said that there were others like TLO, can you name a few? Or should I just continue guessing? :-P

So it doesn't matter anymore to you to have fun playing or being challenged? Do you only play to win now?

The amount of additional effort you have to put compared to Protoss and especially Zerg players is way too much. One thing is challenge, one thing is practicing twice as much just to be as good. I still have fun playing Terran but right now the situation is out of hand.

Obviously my situation is not comparable, but I feel the same way about Terran. I don't really play on a regular basis, but when I do I usually choose either Terran or Protoss, then play for a few days or 2 weeks and then lose interest because none of my friends are playing. When I pick Terran there is so much to work on and I get really frustrated when I have to micro like crazy while my opponent just a moves. When I play Protoss it's really chilled and I feel like as long as I don't fuck up my build immensely or screw up forcefields badly I can handle my opponents pretty well. Terran seems much more stressful with much more to do at the same time while being punished harder for mistakes. So now I am playing P again, much more enjoyable because less stressful, to me. Are you (truly) sorry about what you've posted about gypsies? If not; Maybe you're not the right person to judge others and you should visit Auswitch sometime, see what you can learn from that.

Welcome back to the brotoss race. I was sad when you switched to Terran for WoL. You, White-Ra and Nony were my 3 favorite foreign protoss' and now I have no doubt you will take down a major tournament in HotS.

Get a fucking grip man.

You're being immature as fuck with this badmouthing of TLO. Who gives a shit if he's a flawed individual in some way, it's not yours to scream it out like this. The guy is doing the best he can in life, just like everyone else.
Tell this stuff to him face to face, not to us.
