Been playing my share of games on HotS, and I realized how terrible my timing is most of the time. I usually go for Hatchery first on all my matchups, but what I find really iffy about how I play is when is the best time to actually get some gas early enough to get me my Mutalisks while trying to fend off early aggression.

And on top of that, I don't think i have much of a followup for scouting to boot. Sure I send in a drone to find where my opponent is, but what's next? Sometimes I wanna kick myself in the head for being forgetful. It's moments like this that make my defeats even more embarrassing.

I need some advice on what the basic timings would be and how can I scout properly as a Zerg. Nothing too specific, just a basic idea.
