Wouldn't this be better suited for r/australia or r/sydney and as a self post with a description of the context, date/time and place of the incident? But I guess the urge to reap karma was stronger.

Thanks for sharing your story. Especially with that video (and music). I hope he will be caught, maybe get the police to sent out a notice in looking for someone who burned himself.

I didn't mean to imply that, I thought it was a natural reaction get annoyed when somebody burns down your shop and I don't feel bad for assuming a dude when that applies to 99% of the forum users here.

That's really horrible. My sister owns a tatoo parlor in Germany and i can't imagine this happening to her. Some people are really stupid.
What did the police said ? Is there hope to catch this madman ?

All the OP lost were some inanimate objects that got replaced by insurance, this guy will pay his entire life for a stupid mistake. He is probably out there somewhere, in terrible agony and unable to go to a hospital for fear of the police and will be disfigured as long as he lives. What a terrible faith... Unfortunately those are the consequences of his own actions. Some people will agree that the video is not in good taste but if this man does in fact need to be in a hospital the attention the video is getting could very well lead to him being found and helped. He will have to face his crimes but again, consequences.... I don't want to criticise the OP or the video, I understand that he is annoyed, I just feal bad for the burn victim. We all make stupid decisions, maybe not that stupid, but we usually don't pay for them with gruesome disfigurements. I am sorry but committing arson is more than just a silly mistake. The OP says that there where people living in that building that could have died if the fire got out of control.

Asshole got hurt while endangering others. Hope he gets the punishment he rightfully deserves for damaging for legitimate business and endangering the family above you.
Also T_T for you SC artwork

this is actually more just than law could ever be. not because the guy got burnt but because he did it all to himself.
|
If I was a police investigator, I would just call all the neighboring hospital looking for burn victims. Probably the perpetrator is one of them (if there are more burn victims in the hospitals). Judging by the severity of his burns, he wasn't in a good shape, so unless his car was parked right outside your shop, he couldn't get very far. If his car was parked nearby, there should be some cameras on the street that spotted him, what would make the work extremely easy and also would make him an amateur.
GL finding him though.

This fits blogs more than the general forum so I moved it there.

ROFL what an idiot ! Failing in doing something wrong is just the pinnacle of worthlessness (don't know if that's an english word :p)

He should come to Northern Ireland.
We could teach him how to at least arson somewhere effectively.

Stop pitying this idiot, he isn't unlucky Brian and was actually trying to get a tattoo, but instead set fire to himself, no he came with malice afore thought, with little regard of how much the fire might kill or destroy. I hope they catch this criminal, and please people try and think about it if the shoe was on the other foot, meaningless material possessions suddenly become alot more meaningful when they are yours.

got to love the drama with tattoo shops and the people who get mad at you.
My family owns and operates a tattoo shop as well. Most often if there is trouble, its 99 percent been with a pissed of ex employee who thinks they are owed something. Artists......

Someone must be feeling real smart right now

Is this guy fucking serious? Do you even consequences?
"He is probably out there somewhere..." Ummm.... yup. "What a terrible faith," I'm sorry, what?
I could burn down the place better as a twelve year old, ez. Culprit was a full grown man (who got off easy, if you ask me).
Accountability, my friend. Accountability.

Wow. What a huge asshole. I'm glad no one was hurt.
I'll pass this along to my friends living in Sydney. Hope you catch him.
