Some of you may remember AGDQ 2012 for the donation campaign to try and get Tifa named ESPORTS. Overall that entire event managed to raise just over $145,000 for cancer research. (The chipin doesn't show all of the donations that were made on site as well.) Sadly, there was no real StarCraft representation besides Flicky being loud and obnoxious while he played Bayonetta.
This time around I will be attending to run StarCraft 2: Wings of Libery campaign on brutal difficulty in hopefully just over 4 hours. The schedule has not been set yet, but AGDQ will be January 6th through January 12th with some possible bonus content afterwards. I'm working on making the run as good as possible for the marathon and to make it entertaining, but there are quite a few people expressing worry about it so any support from TL is appreciated.
This run will mean a lot to me, especially since I lost my Father a little over a year ago to cancer and took some time away from Starcraft because of it. My entire status as a caster would not be possible if it weren't for my Father's illness. Living at home and helping my Mother care for him is the only reason I had time to dedicate to Starcraft in the first place. It feels good to be able to use what I have gained to try and give something back by attending AGDQ and helping to raise money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
Basically I don't know when exactly the Starcraft run will be. I'll update you guys once I do know. In the meantime just being aware and tuning in to watch when the time comes would be awesome.

What forks will you take? Have you mapped out your run yet? GL&HF!

Liberation Day Outlaws Zero Hour Smash and Grab Devil's Playground Welcome to the Jungle The Great Train Robbery Cutthroat Ghost of a Chance The Dig (problem mission, researching safer ways around, traditional way was patched and unreliable) Whispers of Doom A Sinister Turn Echoes of the Future The Moebius Factor Supernova Maw of the Void (problem mission, it was patched but each attempt is literally 3 minutes and trying it normally is 23 with an optimized BC strategy) Gates of Hell Shatter the Sky (another problem mission, was patched) All In
The main point is that I must have 25 protoss research before maw of the void. I get the last few on Supernova, but having drop pod ghosts allows me to do maw of the void gates of hell and shatter the sky faster because of it. Though the shatter the sky method doesn't really work reliably anymore.
I don't get enough zerg research to get the mind controller so I can't really switch to the nydus mission even if it was faster which I believe it isn't.

getting your insights on saving time in the campaign would be an interesting addition to the liquipedia single-player pages, if you ever feel like it

Awesome dude, I always love the SDA events, even the terrible games. They're always entertaining and insightful. And to top it of it's for a good cause, what's not to love?! You got my vote.

I'll probably watch the whole thing depending on the timing; I really hope you get a good run as it isn't RNG dependant as some of the other games being run (*Cough* FF9) so it will really let your skill shine.

AGDQ is amazing. Speedrunning is amazing. This will be amazing!

I am a huge fan of awesome games done quick. I'll be looking forward to something interesting in the "zero hour" mission!

Raelcun has got to represent hard man. My run is after the first disc of FFIX which is going to make things difficult to drum up TL donations for so it's all down to to Raelcun.
Current scheduled time for SC2 is Thursday 10th at 17:25 GMT (+00:00)
