Anyway, I'm managed to book a pretty good hotel at a really low rate in Prague's oldtown in August for me and three buddies. We're arriving friday around noon and leaving monday afternoon.
Pretty much the only thing I've really figured out so far is that you're better off to either avoid taxis overall or try to negotiate a fix price before the guy can drive you around town in circles as a foreigner... That's about it.
I doubt we're going to do too much of all the touristy stuff, maybe walk around the old town a bit since I've read that pretty much all the stuff is more or less in walking distance and our hotel is somewhere around there anyway.
What I'm most interested in tbh is the nightlife, we're not looking for drugs and hookers (although we're certainly more than capable to party), just some good places to go to and have a beer during the day and bars and clubs for the nights that are neither too shady nor too run-of-the-mill.
