Ah yes, Saving pvt. E. Sports - How very apt. In 28 hours from writing this bloggeryfloggery, I will be embarking on 11 months of ...yeah, fun, in the Estonian Defence Forces, carrying out my mandatory military service in the Anti-Air Batallion, playing with ZU-23's & MISTRAL rockets, for example. Sucks to be bordering Russia in this day and age, in a country as small as Estonia is... I mean, its called the Defence Forces and not the Estonian Army for a reason ^^
I'll occasionally be around to see whats up, missing WCS, HotS, OSL finals, SC2 OSL in the progress, but luckily I won't be missed as bad as kona will be. And I'll be back before he is :>
Theres two things that bother me about having to go to the army on tuesday -
So much loose ends - So much shit to do and promises to break, since I'm disappearing for a year. Gotta find a way to be able to say no to attractive offers & projects. (I can actually deal with the fact that I'm being cut away from my friends for a year D: Because they understand, because I have to, n all. The projects though... ;_;)
I might have fractured my toe 3 weeks ago.... Alcohol & rain don't mix. Muddy slope + concrete = 3 days of immovable toe, and now already 3 weeks of slightly painful toe, should I run or walk for too long. Boots + running is going to be an... interesting experience.
So aside from making an assortment of arts & graphics, I also dabble in music... for quite a while already. And while I haven't had much motivation to work on music for the past 6 months for the reason im writing this blog, there's still stuff to hopefully show off.
FUSE//Useful Calamity - Chapter I - I recently made a mix of music that I've made, and that has influenced me recently - 40 minutes of highly varied selection - from Funk to IU to future garage to Castles (<3intrigue) Hopefully something new to discover for everyone, due to the obscure nature of the tracklist! Links in spoiler -> + Show Spoiler +
I enabled most of the tracks I have lying around on soundcloud for download since im not gonna be signing or finishing the WIP ones any time soon anyway lol. A couple of them may lack ID3 tags, I hope the album sorters with OCD will fill em out for last.fm purposes or whatnot http://soundcloud.com/usefulcalamity http://soundcloud.com/fuse-est

Don't go Rambo on the Russians and we'll see you in 11 months. I'm most likely gonna start missing your kind of crazy at some point during those months as well O_O.
Awesome, thanks for the cool wallpaper Good luck fighting Ruskies, you just have to pretend it's battlefield; except instead of being the United States you are Estonia, and instead of fighting, you'll most likely train a lot then sit around for a few months--either way good luck!
okay i have to ask, how do you like living in Estonia?
I visited in awhile back and thought it was the most beautiful country I have ever been too. (out of the 20 or so countries i visited) Im thinking of maybe moving from the US to Estonia, any information?
I often don't understand blogs and their formatting. I'm not really used to people's way of doing them. However, I gather you're off to do mandatory service, and on that I hope you make it worth your while and learn something from it, whatever that may be. Other than how to shoot down a Russian plane/missile, of course.
<3333 u guys, all the love right back at you! :D Ill pop by soon enough, most likely in 3 months :0 and thanks to whoever spotlighted this lol, didn't see that coming :D 18 hours to go O_O Losing my hair in a couple hours (before & after pics incoming lolol)

It is magnificently beautiful, I agree! What kind of information would you like? It's awesome living here :0 And you can get by without speaking a word of estonian tbh, a british friend of mine has been living here for 12 years now and still doesnt speak estonian T_T

o_o I did my best to format it, so its a bit easier to navigate & looks visually more appealing ( to me atleast). Didn't really feel like posting a wall of text @_@

There's always a brit somewhere who refuses to speak the local language after many years ~.~

Estonian Defence Force... Russia. I think you should expand to Russia and then defense it. :D
i've only changed my wall paper 4 times within the past 8 years. The last wall paper (tl one) was up for 3 years now. You just made me chance my wallpaper. damn fine work.
russia says hi. remember that they are not interested in fighting you, so don't waste too much time worrying about defense while in defense forces. see you in a year bro.

GL HF manning the spore crawlers for the army! Everybody says draft is a great experience and helps you put yourself together in many aspects of your real adult life many years thereafter. Simple stuff like discipline and day plan (which, I guess, is damn important for a pro or even anybody who wants to stop being bad at a game) but also mental toughness and resilience, problem solving, being able to rely on yourself and teammates. There've been moments I've wished I'd gone and I would've gone if I'd had the physical health and fitness for it. You probably won't convince the army to endorse a team of conscripted players but I guess you could set up an after-hours tournament or two as a tribute to ACE?
in order to train our speed, we had a fashion show ( if someone fails to make it in the allocated time, the rest of the group does pushups until the last guy is ready)-
1- 1 wellington, 1 training shoe, white camo pants, no shirt, harness, helmet, 2minutes 2 - boots, winter pants with lining, white camo top, gas mask, winter gloves 1,5minutes
imagine 30 guys doing pushups in the hallway doing pushups and laughing while one guy curses and mutters into his gas mask while trying to tie his bootlaces with thick gloves
the two hot female sergeants we have in our barracks create a lot of awkward in direct contact and even more gossip and perverse fiction amongst soldiers wwhen theyre not around..
4 weeks of no alcohol women or laptop is already taking its toll
warning - pvt. fuse has been let on the loose for the weekend
feels weird to be using a computer again or drinking cider :D
ex wants to meet tomorrow
heres for a wicked weekend and a depressing sunday evening/monday
armytalk today was an exhausting day first orienteering for 2 hours, which was stupidly fun and then later in the day, first lesson of close combat a russian who means well but has been learning aikido for 4 years almost broke my arm and I got accidentally smacked in the ear by the elbow of my sergeant while sparring with him and we learned choke holds fun times :D cant wait for next lesson next week heh heh
ah funny method from topography lesson - how to convert magnetic azimuth to direction angle with magnetic declination MD+ (Magnetic azimuth + declination = direction angle) DM- (direction angle - declination = magnetic azimuth)
and how to to memorize those? MD+ = Megadeth good DM- = Depeche Mode bad
going to the forest for 4 days tomorrow going to be.. interesting hoarding socks and cigarettes. sleep is a luxury apparently with an estimate of 3 h per night
not allowed to take phone with me, would otherwise make a kennigit-esque pic with camo all over my pretty delicate face
Spent whole last week in the forest The smell of pine needles and burnt gunpowder while sitting in your trench at 5am waiting for something/anything is overwhelming. Especially when that trench took 8 hours to dig
2 more weeks of basic training to go glhf lots of exciting LP stuff to go
