Ohoy there, mateys!
So, I've finally decided that I'm gonna go watch the last OSL final live (RIP, thou mightiest of E-sports institutions )! The flight is booked, and I'm gonna stay between 25/7 and 1/8 (which means I can go see some Proleague action as well). I've been wanting to go on a pilgrim trip to the mecca of Starcraft for a really long time, and this opportunity is as good as any.
I've got a problem left to solve though; accommodation. Due to not having an unlimited budget to spend on this trip I'm trying to reduce the overall cost as much as possible, and one way to cut a substantial amount would be if I could find anyone here on TL who lives in Seoul and would be willing to let me crash on a couch. If you know someone who would consider that, send them here. :D If that isn't possible to arrange, any tips for nice and cheap hostels?
I'd also appreciate some general advice regarding what to see and what to do in Seoul apart from watching Brood War. And anyone from TL can feel free to shoot away a PM or something if you wanna meet up at any time during my stay, for a beer or whatever. I'm game.
Anywho, I'm incredibly pumped for this. :D If Flash makes it through Fantasy in the Ro4 and goes on to win his 4th OSL title right in front of my eyes it would be so splediferous! ^__^ I get nerdgasms just thinking about it.

Lol, didn't see that one.

Good decision, you won't regret it. Too bad you couldn't go earlier and see FvF + finals I saw Flash getting his golden mouse literally a few meters in front of me. I will never forget that.
I went to Seoul last April for PL finals, and I slept at a small hostel close to the city hall, it's less than 20 euros a night.
I wish you to enjoy your experience there ! Pray for Flash to win because it's not ok to ask autographs/pictures with the losing players.

Go do a little research, and I'm sure you can find a really cheap hostel somewhere in Seoul. I stayed in one in Kangnam, but that's a decent way away from the "main" parts of Seoul.

I've started looking around a bit for hostels, and it does indeed seem like the prices are relatively low. They're definitely cheaper than the ones I slept at during my eurotrip last year, but those were, on the other hand, booked in an improvised manner the same day we got to the city in question, so they might not represent the best/cheapest alternatives.
The sum will still shoot away a bit when it's a full week, but it might be worth it. I dunno yet. That would mean I'd have to cut the budget for food and stuff slightly.

Come visit me this fall instead! Im sure you can crash on my couch(?) and we can go harass Larvas and Eagle together. Sounds good? ^^ EDIT: Ill be in anam, dont really know but on the map it seems pretty central
