I came to Toronto in 2008 to study for my bachelors degree, and that's when I first started playing non-BGH low econ games. I started following pro games in early 2009 and I've been following them since.
I was pretty addicted, playing on average probably around 8 hours per day for 2 years straight, but rarely played over 16~ hours straight. I quit playing BW 2011 February to play dota, but I got even more addicted. Probably the average playtime per day is not that much different (due to time restrictions needed to do last minute work) but I can remember at least 20 times where I have played 28 hours straight (which I found is my limit, when I start becoming paranoid and eyes start blurring) since last year.
Now that I have completed my university, my grades came out last Friday (really abysmal CGPA as can be expected, but at least I will be graduating this year), during the last two days of playing dota, I felt so bored and uninterested which, for the past 4 years, I have only felt this way about homework and studying.
With brood war coming to an end, and with Jaedong out of the OSL I think I'm done with teamliquid. I think I have a pretty good record overall, only getting 3 bans and 5 warnings over the past 1000 days. I want to thank the LR creators, BW streamers and interview/news translators for spending their free time to provide entertainment to the community.
I'm planning to go to Sweden to pursue my graduate studies; like I said I have a terrible CGPA but I am trying to find a way around it. If any swedes have any advice I would appreciate it.
