My favorite game was the 48 minute macro game I played against a protoss player. I started off being very passive. I started to drop his 2nd and 3rd around the 15 minute mark, but nothing more than that. We spent most of the game trading bases and armies, once one of us gained an advantage, we just gave it up again. Nearing the end it started to look worrying for me, I had 20 SCVs to his 2 fully saturated main bases. My army was slightly bigger, so I dropped with 2 medivacs full of marines and marauders. His army was taking out my 4th and 5th again, so his base was undefended. I took out all of his production, except for 3 warpgates and a robo. With my army at my base, I demolished his. I followed up on my drop, and won the game with 1 scv left.
I have been working a lot on my macro, which is complete shit. I'm not constantly making SCVs, and I get supply blocked more than I should in a game. The thing that is keeping me from losing games is my micro. My micro is a lot better than my macro, and it usually dictates who wins in the game. I'm focusing more on macro, losing games a lot just to make sure I'm constantly making SCVs and supply depots.
I still need to improve on my micro, especially my marine splitting. This is my biggest challenge, especially against storms/fungals. Banelings is a lot easier because you have more time to react, but against storms and fungals it just feels spontaneous.
So this is how I've been doing during my ladder for the past week.
In other news I've been friend zoned. As always thanks for reading! :D
