Hello everyone!
i have been following TL for quite some time now, but i havent posted anything yet.
my name is clemens, a 26 year old loner by choice living in vienna, austria.
i basically do three things with my time. i work night shifts on weekends, play starcraft and follow tournaments, and i make music. thats all, basically. ^^
i am a self-trained musician/producer, focused mainly on heavy metal and dubstep.
so, the thing is, i plan to do starcraft-related highlight videos of players and/or tournaments. it makes sense, as it is a way to bring the two things i love together - esports and music ^^
also, it is just a good way to get my music "out there"
recently, i have done a dubstep-ish cover version of the terran soundtrack in starcraft 2 (lets face it, terran has the best music in this game! <3).
i`m still working on it, but i thought i could already share it with you guys, hoping for some feedback etc.

why not!
i plan to do a marineking highlight video first, so thats the main reason i did the terran piece.
but i will probably do the other races soundtracks too at some point.

are we sure that this is sc2 soundtrack? It reminds me of the first....

like i said, its not finished yet. i hope to be able to deliver the "wom" once i recorded the guitars :D
also, its not mastered yet, so the finished track will sound more... well... erm... finished i guess xD
regarding the sc1 soundtrack: sure thing! i will definitely get into that soon!

good to see that you want te record real guitars... those GuitarPro sounds really suck :D
Not to trash your work on this, but if you want real feedback: This does not really sound like dubstep.
There are no drops, the bass wobbering sound is too much "background". Dubstep is generally defined as "bass and space".. there is no space here. And the bass is more standard.. it reminded me of Limp Bizkit - Loser.
I think the Idea of a terran dubstep remix is cool, but this is not it...

you are absolutely right!
but, like i said, its not finished yet.
i havent even started using compressors, equalizers, stereo enhancers etc on the single tracks, so its all going to sound deeper once i got to that point.
also, the guitars are still missing, but those arent really that complex in this particular piece ^^
maybe i posted this a little too early, but well, i guess i need exactly what you gave me here to keep going and improve the piece anyway :D

Do the effects, because for now it doesn't sound anything like dubstep  . It's like... music from a pc game from early 90ties, Dune 1 or something
