Call the two 'seams' of the almond its vertices: 1 at 0º 2 at 180º EinYicero Qiraenon Then the 3-sided almond could be a fat almond with seams or vertices: 1 at 0º 2 at 120º 3 at 240º EinYicero Qiraenon So this 3-sided die has 3 faces (each side is a face). Each side is rounded, so there are infinitely many ways to roll a 1, 2, or 3. Each result (1, 2, 3) is still unique, however.

I don't think you can create a true three-sided die without adding extra symbols to account for repeats or slanted sides (here's a search for it: http://www.google.com/search?rlz=1T4ADFA_enUS470US470&q=3-sided die&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=0s5rT9D1L6Lt0gHwlJ3OBg&biw=1396&bih=675&sei=1s5rT5qNPInD0AGG2OT-Cw). I just roll a 6-sided die and say "1 and 2 is Option A. 3 and 4 is Option B. 5 and 6 is Option C." But good luck ^^

I don't see any difficulty with that.

hp.Shell United States2527 Posts March 23 2012 03:15 GMT #6 Every time I conceive a realistic 3-sided almond shape it doesn't seem to roll correctly. I think your sketch shows that it does but I'm having trouble picturing it. It seems like the side that lands down could be the one used as the roll. Edit: Can't it land on the intersection of the 3 sides? It looks like there is a point there but if it lands awkwardly near the point then there are still multiple sides considered for the roll.
