Also massive lols @ your story SeleCT. Its quite true, although there is quite a large amount of (especially younger) people speaking english, when you really need it, there always seems to be nobody around - must be the demonstration effect. Still, quite an odyssey you experienced there.

Do you go to the place where the Superbowl is and demand a hotel room for fifty bucks? The CeBIT is the world's largest computer expo. If a team doesn't account for that, they are just stupid. Blame incompetence.

But he said he has to wait his sister. We waited like 5minutes, she got out of a bus and came. Call me immature, but I'm still laughing at that :D

If anything, it's stupid by IEM to have their biggest tournament at CeBIT... How is it the teams fault that there is no way to get a decent hotel room over there?

Select's story, Violet's as well... woot? there is 0 racism in this text, its just that no1 of iem / management whatever cared enough imo. but its still somewhat funny :D srsly, iem has to step up the organization AROUND their events, because this is terrible and shoulnt happen. what happened to violet is another story... probably an idiot there at the airport, but many ppl are unfriendly at airports, god knows why -,- Just dont make those tournaments at EVENTS anymore, its rly, rly annoying... and you cant say that you couldnt fill up the hall with ppl, because that is the smallest problem now with sc2

I don't see any horror stories of progamers sleeping under bridges because there were no hotel rooms, what did they do?

The CeBIT is the world's largest computer expo. If a team doesn't account for that, they are just stupid. Blame incompetence. Blame IEM. They're providing the rooms. And they had better provide them, what team wants to send a player for 500$ a night for 5 nights or so, on the chance they might win 35,000$ (that goes to the player due to most contracts?) More likely that they will win far far less, not even 1000$. Is it worth it for the team? No, then why would they send the players to IEM unless IEM paid for it. In that case, it falls upon the players to complain till IEM treats them better, or just refuse to go if it's not worth the effort for it. And I wouldn't expect a 50$ room, but I could find a motel for that much with better amenities near the Superbowl for the same price. And I'd be willing to spend 150$ a night, which isn't unreasonable for a better place on average. Don't blame the team, blame CeBIT, and the indifference of IEM.
