Endrey: Hey there, please introduce yourself.
Beasty: Hey, I'm Aleksandar Krstic coming from Serbia and im 20 years old.
Endrey: So, how did you get your ID?
Beasty: Hmm well ... in the previous games that I played, I was a pretty good player. So eventually people started calling me "Beast" and I just decided to call myself Beastyqt since everyone was ignoring my other nicknames ^^
Endrey: Ok, followup question: What games did you play prior to SC2?
Beasty: I started with Counter Strike and got pretty good at it, but after a few years, I got bored from it and went on with WC3, mostly playing DotA with friends. Finnaly, when I got bored from everything, I decided to play WoW for some time with RL friends. I switched to Starcraft 1 four months before SC2 came out and then finnaly bought SC2

.
Endrey: Nice move! So before SC2 you weren't in competitive gaming at all ?
Beasty: Well, the problem in in small country like Serbia is, that it's hard to find team mates for any game. There are only couple of good players from each game and since CS requires 5 players and DotA as well, it was kinda hard to get a good team going, so I just gave up on both eventually and went for Starcraft II, which is 1v1. So it's good for me

.
Endrey: What is your best matchup - what is your worst and why?
Beasty: My best and worst matchup change very often, but for the last month, TvP is for sure my worst matchup and TvZ is my best matchup. TvT can go either way in any moment.
Endrey: You told me once, you really like to create your own builds and playstyle by not copying too much from other players - this is still the case and how you doing with that?
Beasty: I like watching other player's replays sometimes, but every time I watch them, I notice a "mistake" from them in their BO, so I try to mix stuff and get a BO that suits me and my playstyle with timing pushes in each matchup and Starcraft 2 is a game, where you must adapt all the time since BO's and gameplay change very often. So, if you dont know to think with your own head you will get behind pretty easily.
Endrey: What is your biggest weakness, your biggest strength?
Beasty: My biggest strenght is probably scouting in game. I rarely miss anything, my opponent is doing and probably my late game play in any MU (except Protoss :D). My biggest weakness is getting allined from any race, because usually on high level play, I expect players to go for FE or at least macro games and my other weakness is Protoss :D.
Endrey: How is the weather at your place and how much is your playstyle depending on the weather?
Beasty: Well at the moment, its really cold here, but I'm still not sure how it affects or if it does affect me at all since I havent played Starcraft 2 in summer :D. So we'll have to wait and see I guess.
Endrey: Name the 3 top players in Europe for each race.
Beasty: There are many good players from each race, but I'll try to pick 3 of each ... this is from players that I personally played, its from my own experience:
Protoss: Naniwa, White-ra, HasuObs
Terran: Sjow, DeMuslim, Kas
Zerg: MorroW, Dimaga, Mondragon
And of course TLO is in every race
Endrey: About 3 moths ago, you were not that well known in the SC2 scene, but since your victory vs Fenix at CraftCup #21on 3rd of December, you got quite a lot of attention. You are doing not too shabby in the TSL qualifiers as well and now you are in the top 10 of the European ladder. So, what changed and how did you manage to step up your game?
Beasty: Well, after I played Fenix, I realised I can fight vs all the top players in Europe or the world even! That gave me a big confidence boost to practice. In the next 1-2 months I practiced a lot and just tried to improve my gameplay in every possible way I can.
Endrey: What are your goals for the future?
Beasty: Well, my goals are to keep practicing and keep on improving my gameplay even more and attend online as well as some big LAN tournaments. And hopefully win some :D.
Endrey: Whats your favorite music?
Beasty: I listen to pretty much everything, it kinda depends on my mood. I guess the type of music I listen to, if I need to focus, is a more relaxing one. The only thing I dislike is hard-rock music, hurts my ears

.
Endrey: Assuming you are playing on the ladder and it's a terrible terrible losing streak. What do you do: Play more or stop playing ?
Beasty: At first, I'm usually pissed at myself for losing, because of some mistakes I shouldn't do. Then I take a small break and think about what could I do better next time and then just try to get points back and if I get on a good winning streak, I just keep playing because it goes well :D
Endrey: What do you like the most, what don't you like at all about Starcraft 2?
Beasty: I guess that the thing I like the most about SC2 in general is, how it's made. There are just so many things you can do in matches and even the smallest things can make a difference in game at the end. What I don't like is that it takes too long time to fix some imbalance issues in game, which can be pretty annoying. Other than that SC2 is perfect!
Endrey: To which other SC2 player do you look up to and why?
Beasty: I try to "take" something from every player. I learned from Foxer how to micro, I learned from TLO what creativity means and from few other players how general strong play in SC2 is achieved.
Endrey: What are you thoughts about the current map situation? ESL getting ICcup maps, GSL getting new maps aswell...
Beasty: I didn't look at GSL maps. But one thing I know is that you can't put SC1 maps in a SC2 mappool, because it's a different game and it just can't be played the same way. Sure, some SC2 maps like Blistering Sands, Jungle Basin, Steppes of War and Delta Quadrant need to be removed or fixed, but I don't think that adding SC1 maps to the pool is the solution.
Endrey: What are your favorite tournaments? The small ones, the big ones, maybe both? Why?
Beasty: My favorite tournament in Europe is the CraftCup for sure. It was my first tournament I played and won. So it will always be special to me
![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif)
. Regarding the big tournaments, GSL is the best just because of Tastosis Archon. I don't even need to watch SC2 games to listen to them :D. Really good games are an exeption of course (at least sometimes).
Endrey: What food do you like ?
Beasty: I'm not really picky when it comes to food. I eat pretty much any type of food, but one thing is for sure there MUST be a bottle of coke near me at any moment :D.
Endrey: What do you think needs to happen in regard of game balance or is it something like "nothing-game is fine-l2p"?
Beasty: I think TvZ is a pretty much balanced matchup at the moment. In my opinion TvP lategame needs further balancing, because of high templar warp-in with 75 energy and PvZ with Forcefields is little too much overpowered.
Endrey: Ok, now name 3 things you would take to an island in the middle of nowhere - a stable internet connection and infinite amounts of rum are already included.
Beasty: Over 9000 bottles of Coke clearly, a huge bed and clothes. You never know when it might get cold! That's it, I guess. If you don't count bringing living things :D.
Endrey: Famous last words and shoutouts now plx! (dont forget me, I'm serious)
Beasty: Shoutouts to everyone, who knows me and likes my games, to all friends, shoutout to CraftCup and all it's casters. I know they all love me even though some of them bet vs me
![](/mirror/smilies/frown.gif)
. To my team, to my practice partners (no specifics there are too many) and of course: BIG SHOUTOUT TO SPECIAL ENDREY!
