Don't ask questions, don't try to make her happier in any way ( this way subconsioussly you're still saying that she needs help and you do feed the problem so now it will logically become even worse than ever ), if she has got something to say let her say it, but that's about it. You don't involve yourself in her problem by being curious or making judgement about it, etc. so that way in my opinion ~thanks to you~ rest should come down by itself. Anyhow, hope I helped.
