So yesterday was a pretty decent day for me, got gold rank 2. Played quite a few platinum players and learned a lot. The people in my stream were very helpful, and had a lot of advice to give me.I hope to advance to another league soon. But, I'm not quite sure how that works.
I've been using the 14gas/14pool/speedling opening vs all races,but I'm having issues in ZVZ because I drone too hard. ZVP, ZVT, I haven't had any real issues. When they are aggressive though, I makes me tighten up my play. I've also noticed my macro is really sloppy late game, and a low percentage of my games don't really make it there. For an older gamer, I still have speed somehow. I figure my APM to be somewhat decent.
Not sure if I want to keep updating this blog everyday or not,perhaps some community feedback would be nice.
Anyways , gonna be streaming today again. Hopefully I hit platinum! Wish me luck!

A good rule of thumb vs Zerg is to only drone if you're forced to, by seeing that your opponent is doing it. Droning blindly will immediately lose you games, so a better tactic is to go for a good starting amount (with 14/14, I'd say staying on 14-16 drones is good) and then be aggressive. By being aggressive, you're not only scouting so you know if it's OK to drone, you're also keeping him in his base, so you're free to drone if you wish to do so.
I would never recommend going too far though, staying 2-3 drones ahead is good enough.
