Okay, I've been away from SC2 for several months and I'm just coming back. I watched Day[9]Daily #269, a Newbie Tuesday about getting into Starcraft 2. While it was meant for somebody who had never ever played before, there were some really good things for a returning player. It also, surprisingly, helped me realize (at least partially) why I kept going away and coming back. I don't have people to play with.
You see, one of the things Day[9] said in that daily is that I should come to teamliquid, start a blog, and ask for people to play with me. So. Here I am, looking for people with whom I can play Starcraft 2 and have fun. I'm a Silver level Zerg (though I probably belong in Bronze atm >.>), live on the US East Coast, and usually play weeknights (Tuesday-Thursday or Friday). My ID is Cydearrm, and my code is 613. Right now, my first goal is to have fun with SC2. My second goal is to get less bad at the game. With school, a full time job, a wife, a kid, and two nights of WoW raiding per week, I don't have the time to commit to getting to Masters or anything like that. I'd be exceedingly happy to eventually get into Platinum League.
A second thing Day[9] said I should do is to find a "hero" to follow; I should watch his streams, tournaments, and steal his builds. Since I've been out of the game for a while, I'm not entirely sure who I should be following. I do, however, want to follow a mannered, English-speaking, Zerg player. I remember Sheth to be quite a baller, and all kinds of mannered. Does he stream pretty regularly? Who else should I look for?

There is no greater hero than shawn sheth simon. He is manner and skill incarnate. I suggest worshiping him immediately.

Another reason to worship Sheth: He regularly uploads replay packs to his own site, I don't think he's been streaming as much lately but that's because he's been busy playing really well in tournaments.

Yeah feel the same way, laddering can get a bit repetitive but playing a BoX with a friend and mind-gaming each other on GSL maps is totally amazing.

I am just starting out, I havent even completed all my placement matches because ive been trying to work on stradegies ive seen on the daily. If i can be any help id love to have someone to play with as well, my names Lazer and code is 644 add me if your interested

dude sheth is a total boss right now. he is just killing it. he would be a great choice. I advise to stay away from idra but i suppose since is not manner at all you wouldn't even consider him. don't like WoW anymore but its still cool. and do 2v2's if you want fun and custom games are always fun, I have never gotten made at a custom game
