if anyone has played WoW for PVE, you would know that the MOST FUCKING IMPORTANT RULE IN THE GAME, is to NOT STAND IN THE FUCKING FIRE.
If you do a raid, even for the very first time and you die to fire, you are often booted from the group as a noob. In WoW it is completely unacceptable for someone to die in fire.
I was just thinking about micro in starcraft, and wondering when people will start yelling at eachother for having clumped units.
I've been bitching about how people say SC2 is too easy compared to BW and micro in SC2 is garbage compared to B due to the massive group selection capabilities for ages. The time will come when 1a-ing your "deathball" into the enemy will literally be suicide.

agreed! The worst offenders are posts where people say that SC2 is too easy AND complain that it clumping makes their armies too vulnerable to splash damage (in the SAME sentence).

SC2 is too easy despite the fact that clumping makes armies vulnerable to splash damage.
Pressing W to move your WoW character out of a fire and splitting 60 marines against a ton of banes is a bit different. One of them is a lot more difficult.

Yeah, but still the time will come where 1a-ing will be called noobish and not be the standard even amongst pros.

Clumping makes the game easier because clumped up units increase dps. If you try and micro while being attacked with aoe you'll only decrease your dps. This is why splitting marines against banelings is and will be the only real micro you can do (besides basic kiting) because the banelings are melee and you aren't getting hit while microing.
In all other cases the best course of action is to pre-spread ur army in an arc and then 1a. There's no room or time to micro while the battle is going and that's what people are complaining about.

Its been done before to things other than banelings
But you're still right in this instance because the siege tanks were not firing they were being sieged up. People have been able to storm dodge though as well.

You might want to watch some high level TvP before saying that.

Going to call you stupid here, completely irrelevant to the point.
Difficulty is not the point, the point is where the skill will increase to.
And if you really want to press your point, I never got passed the first tier of armour in Cataclysm (Don't remember the number T.T) and I am a masters player in Starcraft.
