Posting this feels a bit like doing public speaking in front of group of classmates for the first time. In any case, I just got done completing my very first let's play: a blind run through of Supergiant's Bastion. It's been a long process riddled with issues. In fact, I made a lengthy post in the tech support forum after literally ripping my heatsink out, processor attached, of my rig because I suspected dried out thermal paste was causing me to overheat while recording.
It's also been a great learning experience. Over the course of just 20 videos I feel like I've become a lot more confident about speaking/commentating after having lived my whole life saying, "Well, I'm a good writer and a terrible speaker. That's just how it is." And I just used that excuse to justify never really putting in effort to becoming more comfortable and skilled at speaking. That's changed. I can still improve a lot, I still have a ways to go before I'm completely comfortable expressing myself through speech as opposed to writing, but the comfort and confidence boost from doing this has been valuable.
Doing this LP also got me actively engaged in the game and allowed me to experience the narrative in a way that I don't normally get in stark silence.

Edit: Oh, yeah. I'm probably going to be doing Bulletstorm, Dead Island, Darksiders, or The Ball next. No console LPs in the near future.

Was expecting you to wear a blindfold and play the game without vision. I was fucking impressed as shit seeing the way you play "blindfolded", until I realized I was just watching another bad Bastion play through.

First of all, the game in question is Bastion. Remember this is the forum for elitist starcraft players each with 500 internet apms? Yah, Bastion is what I play on my ipad (remote control desktop) to relax after a very long day, a game that I beat within a few days of casual playing even with fucktons of idols activated. Now, keep this in mind, how else could I interpret the title and what OP wrote?

Meh. No sense responding to him. Somebody that toxic isn't going to change, he isn't going to add anything interesting or constructive, and he isn't going to respond back.

He actually makes interesting posts in other threads, but he's just been warned/temped for being an asshole so many times that it's obvious he's not going to change his behavior. Hence the ban.

Well i was expecting him to be blindfolded as well... I've never come across the term 'blind' being used as a first playthrough. First i've heard of it. Though the logistics was confusing me but i thought much hilarity would ensue from being blindfolded.

Fair enough. The other guy actually had a valid point, he just presented it in an awful way. I'll keep that in mind next time I post an LP. :D

I'm still occasionally fucking amazed by the sheer number of people who misread/misinterpret posts in this forum and then launch into a tirade filled with idiocy...
Anyway, @ OP:
Practice is the only way! I've been a criminal lawyer for nearly 5 years now, and advocacy is a very significant part of my practice; even with this much experience, I still regularly find myself picking up ways to improve my delivery/presentation in court. Just have some faith in your understanding of the subject matter, and keep pressing forward!

Funnily enough, I thought he meant he was blind as well LOL. Putting blind in the title to mean blind playthrough just seemed repetitive. Anyways, I'm playing the game right now as well, but I don't think it's as good as a lot of people have said (better than skyrim, best game of 2011, etc.).
