My saturday began around noon today, watching Sayle's rebroadcast of proleague. Which was a pretty good time, then baked potatoes and bbq chicken for dinner. But then I realized, it was Saturday. Saturday is the day when the gamers club meets, including chess, magic the gathering, pool, ping-pong, and various console games.
I'm pretty good at ping-pong, I'm no top player, but I consider myself quite good. But I ended up facing my friend Josh, who is someone who routinely DESTROYS me. Now I haven't played since before Christmas, so I thought I would be rusty. But I just decided, I was going to play the best fucking ping-pong that I could. And I did. I was doing moves that I hadn't even practiced. I remember thinking in my subconsious at one point where he left it only a few inches above the table "I'm gonna spike this at the corner, and its going to land there, and he's not gonna hit it." And I did. I was hitting the ball faster than I ever did, hitting spikes that I didn't think was possible for me before hand. My prime achievement during our was when he spiked to my left corner really fast than spiked to my right middle and I had to run four feet to get to it.I remember thinking "NO! I'M NOT MISSING THIS" And I returned it in a way that he couldn't hit it. I even gave a huge grunt when I hit it like a tennis player. I ended up beating him 2-1 in our bo3, it was easily the best ping-pong I have ever played, and by the end, it was clear that I was the better player. Without practice for some time, I was able to dominate someone who I couldn't even touch before. It wasn't like he was having an off day either, he told me that he was playing close to his best and that he didn't believe me when I told him I hadn't played in some time.
Now I'm feeling like a total champ. I beat someone who I couldn't beat before doing techniques that I couldn't do before. I just decided that I was going to be incredible, and I was. And now, fuck yeah I'm awesome, so I'm getting Dominos.

that happens to me too. when not doing someone for a while and picking it up, you just see things differently and mostly play much better than before. it's weird.

Good deal...except...you are feeling good so you are getting Dominos? Come on man, don't destroy yourself with cardboard pizza. You just acomplished something. Splurge on some flavor! =)

Congratulations  I play ping pong just for fun (at the "not-professional-but-still-better-than-most-of-my-friends" level) and some of the matches we have are really kickass Totally makes you feel like a baller when you're on fire or even win a great rally!

My school is having a ping pong tournament and I'm up to the round of 8, winners bracket out of like 188 people, I'm not popular at all so everyone is asking who I am when I beat the popular people, its really funny when the whole school just watches in silance when I'm beating a person who walked around the whole week saying he'd rape me.
But the same thing happened to me before this tourney, I didn't think I was good but I went to practice with a group of like 9 people and lost no matches. All of those people had beaten me before. My only explanation is that starcraft made me better somehow.

lol i would have liked to see a vid of this match.
i feel like this in bw sometimes. most of the time i cant even control my units when im NOT under attack. but once in awhile everything clicks and everything is tight and fast.
