Places to stay for 1-2 weeks in Seoul?

Me and two other friends are thinking about going to Seoul for a trip for about 1-2 weeks. Does anyone know where good places with cheap rates to stay are? We want to catch some BW or LoL games so if it happens to be close by to the OGN studio that would be pretty cool.

I stayed at a student hostel in Gangnam, but it's really small. Cheap though. But it's about an hour from the OGN studio I believe.

I stayed at Hotel Sunbee, it was nice and very close to Myeong-dong.

They speak English.

Just checked their rates: 100,000 KRW (I think it was 88 when I went), but if you split it three ways, it's less than $30 pppd

Stay at a backpackers in Hongdae, not too far to Yongsan from there and it's pretty cheap.

Im staying in itaewon at the moment. Quite a good district and a train station is really close. Its called the Hamilton Hotel.

I would stay near Myeongdong. It's central, 1-2 subway stops from Seoul Station. If you need a hotel recommendation, try Hillhouse Hotel in Hoehyeon. It's right next to Myeongdong, which means you'll have plenty to do at night, while staying central to nearly everything in Seoul. Myeongdong is poppin at night time.

Oh, make sure you go to Gwangjang Market when you're in Seoul for breakfast/lunch. Street type fare, all awesome.
