There is nothing worse than being on a long losing streak, where your best matchup feels shaky, and everything else feels impossible.
A suggestion that crops up a lot to get out of these slumps is to buy a smurf account. So I bought a TW account, and man did I enjoy it for the first week.
After rocketing into high diamond and playing against low masters, I had to take a 3 day break for internet issues and when I came back I began to lose. A lot.
So here, I am pissed off, and probably unable to think clearly so I am making a thread on teamliquid about it.
Throughout my Starcraft journey I have only set a few goals:
-Learn this build.
Any idiot can do this.
-Play this many games.
If you remember my practise regiment post, I am still upholding my promise, but to no avail!!!! I have played close to 300 ladder games on my accounts combined, and at least 150 custom games this season, but there is no way to count the customs.
After all this gaming, I feel like my skill level shot up for a while, then took a dip, and hopefully I wont land back in square one.
To explain myself on that point, I want the green line, not the red line.
Upon half a second of reflection, I have decided that I am not practising correctly. Instead of saying 'I played 1,000 games this season', it is probably better to say 'I have PRACTISED 100 games this season.'
I enter a game, play it, gg, enter a new game, play it, gg.
I should enter a game, look at a SPECIFIC part of my play, and focus on that part of it until I am satisfied.
So, to force myself to analyze my replays, I will upload my 5 most recent replays, and abide by the TL rules that I should analyze my own replays before asking anyone else's help.
I will spoiler them because I know some people just don't give a damn about my games.

-Be more mindful of the army.
-Get a faster third
-hotkey the 6th rax
-DO A BETTER JOB SCOUTING. really really needed to know it was a fast third.
After that I feel like it is like losing your queen early on in chess, there is no point looking over the game anymore.

-make a bunker every time.
-refine the build
#3 TvP

-scan protoss more often when going for the stim timing, the 6 gate is normally very easy to hold.
-dont go for the stim timing, the risk is higher than the reward.

-Dont suicide marines and marauders for an expo.
Should have ran because my escape route was getting cut off, and I knew it. This is not something I learned after the fact, I just made the wrong choice.
#5 TvT
-WHY DIDN'T I SIEGE UP DEFENSIVELY!!!!!!!!!!!!
-Know which battles you can fight.
-Be more prepared to pull a lot of SCVs against a 1-1-1.
Refer to chess analogy for my opinion on this game.

To re-iterate, my blogs are written as I go along. I am saying this because this section seems to contradict my first one.
After paying attention to my games, I basically got the same information I knew already.
I have poor unit control, and poor unit decision making. I don't tend to have bad calls when it comes to taking a base, killing a base, or getting unit X or unit Y. However, I have a huge challenge knowing how much my units can get away with, and simply wringing every ounce of firepower out of each of my units.
For example:
TvP on metalopolis, I lost 2-3 marauders, and 8-10 marines to a forcefield that DIDN'T EVEN SHOOT BACK.
TvP on tal'darim altar, I did not scout properly and thought my protoss was playing greedy, I assumed fast third WITHOUT SCOUTING THE THIRD BASE, and died to an easy to hold all-in.
TvT on metalopolis, I kept throwing marines at him in a desperate bid to block the contain and just died for not having any units. This is a huge flaw when it comes to my mindset of playing against the 1-1-1.
The only way I can think of to practise this, is to play more games. But before the analysis I said I would try to practise games, instead of playing more games.
What is this, I don't even...
now for a cheer-me-up.
