I'm just some platinum zerg who was hoping to play in a tournament for some cool mugs. I saw the reddit post and decided to register while I was at work. I end up taking work home to do after the tournament instead of sticking around at work to be able to check-in on time. I get home, check-in, go to the channel, and wait for the bracket.
When the bracket finally comes out, I'm not on it, even though the admin was /talking to me/ in the game channel at the time. I tell the admin that I'm not on it, and he just says, "Sorry, it's my first time." and then that's that.
I mean, sure, it's hard to run a tournament and I appreciate that it's a free tournament with a nifty prize and all, but man, I think it just sucks when there were a ton of byes for people to the second round and a bunch of people were no-shows, and I'm registered, signed in, and there on time and still can't get to play.
