Aha i like the comment 'if i meet somebody new, and they are korean, i already like them' haha.
I love kpop as well, and the band that got me into it was SS501. Ever since then i have watched a lot of kpop, and i love korean dancing. SS501 also lead me to the show boys 'over' flowers, love k dramas.

and who could forget.....starcraft

My list:

1)Korean women are simply put the most beautiful genre women I've ever interacted with. They work really hard on their appearances, but it pays off for us males.

2) K-pop is interesting just because of point 1

3) I wouldn't call the Korean language beautiful (not particularly ugly, but it's not very sexy), but it is a fun and exotic language to learn.

4) I can't really say I love Korean fashion, but I do really appreciate how it's ok for Korean men not to be super masculine. As something of a pretty-boy, it's nice for people to not immediately think "maybe he's gay?" when your clothes aren't baggy everywhere.

5) It's really cool to be able to talk about starcraft with just about any Korean male (and a surprising amount of females).

Haha this was cute. I'm pretty much the same way (minus the saying hello in Korean to random Koreans part.)

1.)I love Korean guys and the girls are pretty too.

2.) K-pop is my most favorite thing ever at the moment, I've been addicted for the last two years or so.

3.) I love the sound of the Korean language. It's really fun to speak too.

4.)UGH KOREAN FASHION<3 I actually just ordered some clothes from Yes Style. As well as makeup from Etude House. And you can't forget bb cream C:

You mean if people clothes arent baggy or sort of rugged styled, they are considered gay? Damn western culture...
You mean ESPORTS isnt a synonym for SC2? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -Proud owner of a Filco Majestouch 2 with Cherry Blue Switches- BW or SC2? Why not both?

I in general have a thing for asia and especially the "popular" asian countries such as china, korea and japan. So yea, I kinda agree. Although it is mostly beacuse of the older culture since the modern version of this is basically full of perfection and artifical stuff that I don't really like(and, you know, the whole "communist china" thing is a bit weird as well). But it's still a part of it and to some extent pretty exciting.

I like the food.

Uhm.. Yeah, not so much else to say. The fashion for men seems a lil weird at times, girls in general cloth pretty good...

I agree, Kpop is even worse than Jpop, it's like a giant fat cat with sugary blood pouring from his evil eyes, and you drink that blood and it tastes like a thousand marshmallows. If you're a normal person you would usually puke.

Other than that, I have a Korean friend who's mom is a writer in Korea. But we usually make fun of how people in Korea are crazy in comparison to our happy calm lives in France. Like the military or how gay some guys look. *wink wink*

Edit: but it is true that one thing makes me sad; he doesn't give a damn about SC. So when something SC related happens and he's around, I'm like "wooow did you know" and he's like "yeeeaaaah whatever".

This is the equivalent of Japanese people hearing things like Japanese men are so hansamu, desu ne ~ ?
Somehow meant to be complimentary, but instead extremely off-putting =/

I think around about the time I watched the Disney movie 'Mulan', I desperately wanted to be Chinese or at least Asian. I went so far as to learn how to eat with chopsticks and try to paint in water-colours in a similar style to traditional Chinese paintings. There weren't any Chinese lessons available though, and so I never learned to speak it. Fast forward a few years and I started studying animation and watching quite a lot of anime. At that point I was pretty sure I wanted to learn Japanese so I didn't have to read subtitles. And now that I play starcraft and watch it so much I have started learning Korean (so one day I can kidnap Nada or Bisu!) Edit: The truth is I actually just want to learn a new language, in addition to being able to understand Korean without a translator
I'm not the biggest fan of Kpop, I don't mind it, it is cute and the girls are truly beautiful, but I'd rather listen to english music because i like understanding sensible lyrics.

You mean if people clothes arent baggy or sort of rugged styled, they are considered gay? Damn western culture...

I was exaggerating for effect. Obviously not everywhere and everyone, but in the sort of blue-collar/working class city I grew up it acting "manly" and having "manly" attire was the standard for men. When I moved back home from living in Quebec (french Canada), people did assume on a number of occasions I was gay because I wore a light scarf in fall and indoors. Assuming your gay is the obvious extreme, but generally being a pretty boy is associated with snide comments, while in Korea it's adored.

A selfish reason to love Korea, yes, but true nonetheless.

Additions to my list:
6)The food is fantastic and pretty cheap. Definitely has taken over the better portion of my diet.

7) KOREAN DRINKING GAMES: The Koreans posting here know exactly what I'm talking about. Western drinking games simply don't compare. There's so many good ones that you can get blackout soju without ever repeating a game twice.

8) Soju: basically 20% vodka that sells for about a $1.50 for a beer bottle's worth. No further explanation needed.

9) As mentioned, Korea actually has some really great movies. A lot of people like foreign films just because they're foreign, but Korea manages to combine a lot of the style and production of Hollywood with interesting plots, art direction, and meaning. Avoid a lot of the romances though, they almost all suffer from Cinderalla syndrome. The K-dramas are (imo) the exact opposite of Korean movies and tend to often be formulaic hogwash

This is the equivalent of Japanese people hearing things like Japanese men are so hansamu, desu ne ~ ?

I don't think many people are going to understand your point without a translation here...

Don't think a translation is needed to get the point. Sort of self explanatory.
