It's been a while since I blogged about BW. I'm hearing your screams of "You bastard, how could you leave us without your precious battle reports'n shit" (actually I don't, but whatever), so I'm back at you. So, I joined a tournament after my D Ranks Teamleague games and first time in my life, something like this happened:

I didn't get eliminated the earliest!!! Despite the fact that I ended up getting eliminated at the first round, the game was enough to keep me satisfied. My opponent got to D+ with a record of 11-3, which is good (at least better than everything I've ever got), but my mentality was a little bit different. For the first time since the random ass Turkish sc2 ladder on ESL, I said to myself "I can beat this guy". The actual thing I said was "I can pretty much beat this guy, and the next one too, and the one after that. WHY NOT!".
My mindset was pretty much unbeatable at that point. I was thinking that ZvT was my best matchup as I won my D Ranks Teamleague game (which was not my game but I played as WUSSleeq decided not to show up) and after that I played a game against Cr4zyh0r5e and I won that one too.

OK, battle report starts here.
Everything started with me being the zerg in 11 o'clock position and him being the terran in 5 o'clock position.

I opted for a 12 hatch into 3 hatch muta whereas he went for the standard 1 rax expo into 2 rax academy.

After I saw him moving out, I made 3 sunkens out of my natural. I opt for 3 sunkens and zero zerglings rather than 2 sunkens and a control group of lings. That gives me 16 drones per base before mutas come out and nobody attacks into 3 sunkens anyway.

As he is from Nicaragua and I'm from Turkey, the inevitable truth happens: Lag. I microed my mutas pretty well despite the inhumanly lag kicking in and not going away for the entire midgame. But I microed my mutas better vs Cr4zyh0r5e and sGs.OuZo because there was no lag.

Surprisingly enough, it's been more than 5 minutes and my macro was actually fine. That is something extraordinary to me. I'm more used to having 1k-1k starting from 6 minute mark or some shit. By the way, I also have more supply than my opponent right now, and everything is going just fine.

At some time, the game became unplayable for me, and appearently for him too. I couldn't control my mutas and lost all of them, I swarmed after all my forces died etc. etc.

Believe or not, it's the first time I used plague. While plaguing my opponent's army, I also countered his 4th with my ultraling force.

Sometimes I just do what I want to do and attack some places. Generally doesn't result into something good, this time it did... Kinda.
But he killed my 4th in the process

Then I aggressively double expanded but his vessels were too much to handle for me and I lost

Props:
1- Me for staying in the game with endurance and actually playing a close game for half an hour
2- My opponent for playing a beautiful game
3- Me for using plague
4- Plague for being a wonderful spell
5- My macro for not sucking and being actually good
6- My opponent for finding open holes in my strategy and using it to full utility
Slops:
1- My opponent for lagging.
2- Me for handling vessels poorly
3- Me for trying to brank my opponent's front instead of using all that army in defense and expanding aggressively or attacking into naturals
4- Me for not scouting expoes in time and not putting lings/overlords to expoes
5- My defiler control for sucking (D+ zergs are not a bunch of defiler extraordinaires, are they?)

Ah, vessel clouds are so strong. I remember Day[9] saying in one of his dailies that one of the biggest mistakes he sees lower level zergs make is lack of scourge (which allows terran to pwn face with vessels and dropships and stuff)
Anyway, nice BR (and nice pokemon joke!)

Too little too late dude, too little too late. I had to scout for 3rd bases and secure some more bases for me at the same time.

1- I never lag against anyone in US/CA/EMEA. Turkish internet can't do anything better than that.
2- Yes, weezing jokes could be done on erasers. Thanks for the tip. I'll probably do that in my next battle report.
3- Seems as easy as "make workers constantly, never get supply blocked, spend your money, scout constantly and you're C-". It's a tad bit more difficult in practice especially if you're a noob shit.
4- Would be good, I'm hungry now. It would be also good as I'm going to watch CJ and Woongjin VODs.
5- Me? I love to post in my own blogs. Yes, it's a little bit strange and I know. Other people? I don't know. Probably it's because they love to read BW battle reports despite how noob poster is.
