Anyway, the other week I participated in IPL's $1000 Map Maker Tournament. I didn't do very well, but I managed to put up some good games vs RGN.Future, and consequently the series was cast by IPL's CatsPajamas and HD. I didn't submit the replays, and neither did Future (I asked). I guess Playhem reviewed them or sent IGN a bunch of replays and they picked some of the good ones from each round.
I'm not a professional player, so it was very cool for me to see myself on IGN's stream. Needless to say I wrote a blog about it. Here is the blog from my wordpress, hopefully the formatting stays alright.

So last weekend I participated in a StarCraft 2 tournament with a $1000 prize pool. I enter small tournaments all the time, they’re great practice and a lot of fun. This however, was by far the largest tournament (at least in terms of prize money) I had ever participated in. In the round of 64 I got matched up against RGN.Future, a professional StarCraft player. Almost every time I enter one of these tournaments, I end up getting knocked out by a professional, which is both annoying and rewarding at the same time. It’s annoying because losing all the time sucks, but it’s also rewarding because I know that I’m good enough to beat almost anyone who isn’t a pro. Needless to say, I didn’t win the series vs. Future, I lost 2-1.
Anyway, tonight I sat down at my computer to do what I normally do before I go to bed: see if there is any StarCraft worth watching. IGN Pro League or IPL is one of the major broadcasters of StarCraft 2 tournaments and events, and tonight they were casting some of the replays from last weekends tournament. I figured I would check it out, since regardless of what the material is, the hosts of any IPL broadcast (@CatsPajamasSC2 @HDStarCraft @PainUser) always make things entertaining. After the stream loaded (www.twitch.tv/ignproleague) I was shocked to see that CatsPajamas and HD were casting the series between myself and Future! I have never been casted by a real caster, and I’m so glad the first time was at least in a series where I won a game. It was unbelievably rewarding to watch myself compete against a Pro and have it broadcasted on the internet for over 50,000 people to see. If you want to see the games, you can find them @ http://www.justin.tv/ignproleague/b/300117033 (to skip straight to the game, go to about 14minutes in)
Also, if you want to watch me play live, follow me on twitter @spbelky and I normally tweet when I’m going live, or you can follow me on twitch.tv at http://www.twitch.tv/spbelky !
The blog contains 4 entries so far, but I'm not going to spam all four of them on TL. However, as I write new entries, I'll try and put them up here on TL as well!
