A solid D+ now a days is about as difficult to achieve as low masters, it's just in BW 75% of people are D-, 20% are D, 5% is D+ and higher. I'm not saying D+ is not low level, anywhere... Not sure where you're getting any of this.

Your argument about being truly stuck in a league doesn't make any sense. Being stuck in a league is time based... If you play for a week and can't get out of a league, guess what, you're stuck in that league. And I find it laughable that you want proof over this... To me it seems that you idolize gamers and can't wrap your mind around them not being good at every game. Your posting is simply atrocious. You make a completely extreme claim that clearly no one believes you about, you have failed to provide any evidence, and you're using petty little attacks. Give me a break. Come here with some evidence or you'll continue to be laughed at. And no, if you play for a week and "can't get out of a league" then you're not stuck. Clearly you don't know the definition of stuck. 1. caught or held in a position so that you cannot move or Verb 1. get stuck - be unable to move further Being in platinum for one week does not mean you're stuck. That's ridiculous and only goes to show you're backtracking after making a stupid initial post. If you're improving, you're not STUCK. You're progressing. Also, to claim that you're stuck in platinum after a week is even more stupid because you very well might not get promoted due to the system. If you honestly think not getting promoted after a week means you're "stuck" then it just goes to show that no, you don't actually know any A- gamers stuck in platinum. On November 21 2011 08:43 GreEny K wrote: Lol, did I say currently? No... And guess what, you dont know every player capable of getting A-. The number of people that actually A- is so limited that we would know. Did you even play BW? D+ is the equivalent of high diamond/low masters. I was C and got grandmasters, for perspective. I believe HuK was a B in Iccup btw, which would still shit on the greater majority of players.

Your arguments are god awful, a player isn't a A- level player if he never reached that level. And you were comparing how Huk/Whiplash weren't good at BW and were good at SC2. Its because too many people don't realize what it means to be C level in BW... I assumed you had lots of BW background by your higher post count, clearly not.

Went from bronze to diamond in one season time. I'm not sure what else you're expecting ![]() On November 21 2011 08:39 CoR wrote: still even guys switching now from wc3 i which i know, at LEAST start diamond, wc3 and sc1 background is huge and being competive gamer means you have the skill you need to at least not start bronze so wc3 id would be nice gl hf anyways thats just nothing else then a lie ... A- was the level of TLO White-Ra and Ret ... plz dont lie thats not cool Once again, I never played SC1, don't know anything about SC1. I didn't know about SC2 until I started playing. One of my friends said I should check the game out. Going Bronze -> Silver -> Gold -> Platinum -> Diamond in one season time should suffice when starting completely from scratch. On November 21 2011 08:33 SinisterR wrote: Can you stop derailing this thread? It's actually quite a nice stream, I enjoyed watching it. Once again, good luck on your quest to masters you seem like a player with good potential. Just need to refine a few aspects of your game. Thanks for the input! People with bad connections had trouble viewing the stream at 5000kbps so I lowered it to 2500kbps. Even the most crappy connections should be able to handle the stream now. I also initally forgot to put music on but that got fixed through a quick whisper. Feel free to whisper me in-game (kaluro.650) or send me a message on TL/Twitch if you have any suggestions/questions. Thanks for watching and following! I'll also ask nicely not to derail this thread, No need to go on about SC1 players who got stuck in whatever at SC2, since I don't have a single bit of SC1 background. I'm going to attempt to get this stream going for the people that do like to watch. Each can have their own opinion whether or not I was wc3 competitor, You can even bash my sc2 play or have whatever opinion about me, as long as you stay on topic and within reason. Thank you!

Different games are different. I could micro my roaches perfectly, but that didnt help when I thought for example that drones could not attack and thought 6 pool was an invinclible build ~~

Hadn't watched streams, hadn't watched tournaments, didn't know any tactics nor the races. I got from Bronze to Diamond in one season time, that should say plenty about my adaptability and advantage of my warcraft III background. Went through all 5 leagues in one season time. I doubt anyone would manage in a totally different genre of what he ever played, with unknown races, right off the bat. I am extremely familiar with micro-rts. Multitasking-macro-rts is a whole new world for me. Having to manage your base constantly throughout the game, needing 6+ bases end-game, expansion management, constant drone production etc. was all new to me. I was used to focussing heavily on battles, where one miss-micro would mean you'd die. I was used to being able to go whichever unit composition you wanted and still be able to win, there were no hardcounters. But as I said, each to their own opinion. Either watch the stream or don't. You just described why I still love wc3.

Haha yeah, I played versus a silver terran friend of mine. That was my very first SC2 game. I would call him a lamer for massing marines, as I was so used to small but effective forces that could achieve pretty much anything if micro'd correctly. I thought to myself like "ugh, losing to a masser.. ". I knew that little of starcraft. No more than 5 workers on mining was my mindset, no more than 5 or so on wood, potentially 7. On November 21 2011 08:51 FabledIntegral wrote: To the OP, there's nothing wrong with initially being PLACED in a low league, if you don't even know anything about the game. Like I said earlier, I was originally placed in silver, because I was actually reading unit descriptions still when I first started. I didn't know what the fuck a roach was, if they were ranged, could shoot air. I didn't know banshees could cloak, etc, nor did I realize their damage output. Being placed into diamond without knowing hte game sounds a little ridiculous to me. Well, haters gonna hate. I have to agree with you and that the haters are a tad on the irrational side .Well; diamond now, masters next. Just gotta fix my mechanics and step it up a notch.

I don't think that <2500kbps can sustain such a high quality stream output. I'm already noticing FPS drops from 30 to 22 at 2500kbps. Once I lowered it from 7500 to 5000 and then from 5000 to 2500, the complains about lag stopped completely. If I get more PMs about potential lag, I could lower the stream quality overall, to a lower resolution output. Just so I can justify even lower kbps. Did you lag around 10 to 11 PM CET? I had altered my bitrate to 2500kbps there. One of my friends is on a terrible connection, the lowest of cable connections and he noticed no lag/stuttering. So I think we're good. !

I played WC3 casually on a midskill level and went from Silver into Diamond within one Season. (Never played BW) I don't understand why you do not want to reveal your WC3 ID while letting everyone know that you played WC3 on a decent level.
