i also find it difficult to believe you were C+ on iccup and got put in bronze.
nevertheless, good luck to you. Competitive does not mean professional. Competitive means he participated in tournaments vs other players it doesn't mean he devoted his life to getting amazing at wc3. Thus it doesn't correlate to placing immediately in a high ranking
I'm not an ex-pro wc3 player indeed. I have a 40 hour/week job to sustain myself.

Each to their own opinion, I'm not great at starcraft at all, I'll give you that.

People were complaining about a laggish stream, This might be because the bitrate was at 5000kbps, I lowered it to 2500kbps now, hopefully improving the stream for people with a bad connection.

Thank you.
There's the off chance that I'm playing some other random games, just to deload when playing on tilt.

saying that your competitive implies that you are actually on a level where you can compete with serious players. you (probably) werent.
i played wc3 (i was like top50 or top100 in germany) before and i have always been in the highest league possible (except for grandmaster) since i got my beta key in late beta

I never touched sc1, barely even heard of starcraft 2 when I started playing. Hadn't watched streams, hadn't watched tournaments, didn't know any tactics nor the races.
I got from Bronze to Diamond in one season time, that should say plenty about my adaptability and advantage of my warcraft III background. Went through all 5 leagues in one season time.
I doubt anyone would manage in a totally different genre of what he ever played, with unknown races, right off the bat. I am extremely familiar with micro-rts. Multitasking-macro-rts is a whole new world for me.
Having to manage your base constantly throughout the game, needing 6+ bases end-game, expansion management, constant drone production etc. was all new to me.
I was used to focussing heavily on battles, where one miss-micro would mean you'd die. I was used to being able to go whichever unit composition you wanted and still be able to win, there were no hardcounters.
But as I said, each to their own opinion. Either watch the stream or don't.

Bullshit.

Lol ok kid, you must be 12. To assume that I would lie to cover someone who I don't know at all... Really? I play with high masters all the time and most of them did not come from BW and are still good. On the other hand I know people who were great at BW and don't know anything about SC2. Nobody is naturally good at a game the first time they play it. You need to learn strategies and how units behave and what they do. Some people learn that faster than others. So in conclusion, screw you, dont tell me what I know and dont.

I didn't realize I posted "Guys would you believe me if I told you I know people who were A- and now stuck in Platinum?" I'm not looking for you to believe me, so you posting that doesn't do anything for this topic...

Killer argument. Keep going.
Your first part of your post is completely irrelevant.
Regardless, tell me the alias of any A- iccup gamer from BW that is currently stuck in platinum and can't get out. Who gives a shit if someone gets placed in platinum originally? I was placed in silver in the beta. I was not stuck in silver. I quickly made it out and to the top of the ladder. I do not believe there is a single A- iccup player from BW that can not get out of platinum and is stuck there.

Its not you lying to cover someone you dont know, its you lying to make a point that is completely absurd. I really find it hard to believe someone could be A- on iCCup and then be stuck in plat on sc2. lool this thread is turning into a joke.

Yep an A- player stuck in platinum is impossible.
A- on iccup is someone at a skill level of Idra, Ret, B-level pros in BW... These guys will get masters after they play 3-5 games.
If you are saying you know people that were A- and and now are platinum, do share. I was C+/C on iccup and reached top diamond in beta after 15-20 games. (Diamond was the highest league)... If you were D+ or higher, it shouldn't have taken more than a few weeks to get masters.

It's completely relevant because your one word response, "Bullshit", seems like something a child would post.
Your argument about being truly stuck in a league doesn't make any sense. Being stuck in a league is time based... If you play for a week and can't get out of a league, guess what, you're stuck in that league. And I find it laughable that you want proof over this... To me it seems that you idolize gamers and can't wrap your mind around them not being good at every game.

Can you stop derailing this thread? It's actually quite a nice stream, I enjoyed watching it. Once again, good luck on your quest to masters you seem like a player with good potential. Just need to refine a few aspects of your game.

So what you're saying is that it's possible for a low level play in BW to be good (whiplash, huk), but it's not possible for a good player to be bad at a different game... Nice

D+ is by no means not low level lmao. A solid D+ now a days is about as difficult to achieve as low masters, it's just in BW 75% of people are D-, 20% are D, 5% is D+ and higher.

still even guys switching now from wc3 i which i know, at LEAST start diamond, wc3 and sc1 background is huge and being competive gamer means you have the skill you need to at least not start bronze
so wc3 id would be nice
