And I ended my night against a 6 pool...that I didn't react quickly enough to. Nevermind that for some reason I was going bio against Zerg when I had decided that mech really would have been the way to go.
Blah, just one of those nights. For whatever reason, my PC seemed to be slowing down quite a bit too...but I won't make excuses for myself.
One of my favorite coaches early in his coaching career had a team that was blown out by 43. At the end of the evening, at a team dinner one of the news guys for the college raised a glass and said, "Here's to forgetting tonight." To which the coach responded, "No! Here's to never forgetting tonight."
That said, it's time for me to see what I can do to make those nights happen less often. It's time to hit the replays. The 0-9 streak from last week. Hell, now that I'm using SC2 gears, I can find every loss I have and watch them all.
Here's to never forgetting the losses.
Here's to letting those losses push me forward.
Time to remove myself from the ladder for most of my playtime, boot up YABOT and start working on my builds, over and over and over and over. Know the maps, know the builds as second nature and how to adapt them based on both the map and the opponent and his moves, and have my ECO running like a well oiled machine.
~grins~ For the Horde!
(Something about the gutter exuberance of that phrase seemed to fit at the end. ~shrugs~)
