Hey, I've just come from watching Day9's Newbie Tuesday "How To Get Into SC2" video, where he suggested posting a blog up here to find practice partners and whatnot!
As you may have guessed I'm pretty much rock bottom (infact, I haven't played my placement games yet!) but I was hoping to find some people to practice with and chat about SC2 and things. At the moment I've been pretty much just watching various streams all day, but I fancy taking the plunge into playing the damn game myself already haha.
From the UK, available through the day pretty much every day. Usually spend a couple of hours doing uni work but it's flexible.
I'll also keep this blog updated on my progress, my horrible defeats and my probable very sparse wins! So if you're new and fancy a practice theres no pressure, as I'm rubbish too.

Ah, so thats how this blog forum works. If I'd have known my blog post title would have been the topic title I would have used something a bit more descriptive than 'Hello' haha, sorry guys.

it goes well with you being very new anyways , gl, but i'd suggest trying to play some games before you play with people who have experience (even if they are also bronze etc)

Good luck friend. I hope it all goes well and you have fun with SC2, TL, and all the events.

Aww the noobies are soo cuute.
Welcome.

Welcome! I myself am rubish but probably not as much as u since i do play. But i would suggest playing the AI and then venture on to the ladder. It's probably going to be easier for u to find a practice partner when u know ur skill level in terms of ranking

As you've already watched streams and probably have gained quite a lot of knowledge about the game, I'd say jump straight onto the ladder. Dont get discouraged if you lose a lot in the start though, you'll learn and get better! Good luck and I hope you enjoy playing

Good luck in your journey ! I would suggest to follow Vortigan's advice; play against the computer until you can beat him easily in hard difficulty, it'll teach you the basic and will train your mechanics a bit. Then practice on ladder, don't be discouraged by the loss, that's perfectly normal; you'll then find your place in a league where you can get around 50% win rate wich is very good for practice. What's your race ? I could give you some teaching when I'm available. Keep watching Day9 That's how you become a better gamer

Welcome! Always nice to see the community getting bigger

Hi. I seem to be in the same spot as you, although I may have a bit more practice than you :-)
I'm Cagle.221 on B.net and I usually play during the afternoon/evenings. Maybe we could play some games, I'll try to find you next time I'm online!
