Especially when zergs do it when they cheese me T___T; Seriously, i played a guy who did a 1base baneling bust, killed some stuff of mine, said GG, and then i waited through 5 more waves of progressively less ling/bling, then killed him. But i don't hate people replying to my GG's. Don't mind that so much ^^

But then there are exceptions.I had a few epic long games where the map was mined out and in the end I lost and the guy just says something like:"Wow,gg man",so the context is important i feel like. He still kept being a jerk about it though. I don't see why people have to be such jerks about it. As long as you are not purposedly delaying the inevitable (like Terrans flying their stuff to the corner on the map), people shouldn't just be jerks to each other and simply respect their opponents. I'm not going to go with the clichee saying 'It's just a game', because some people do take it seriously and put their hearts on line when SC2 is concerned, however, a simple respect & courtesy shouldn't be excluded from it, no matter what. He had void rays, and i didn't even think of getting spores or queens out. I was killing his base faster and thought i totally had this game won, and i then saw a "gg" in chat. I'm like "oh cool, ive killed his only nexus and he just gg'd, yay a win" Next i notice he was just bringing his voids back to kill my roaches, and then was going to continue working on my buildings with them...I was devastated and felt like i just got trolled hard. Ever since then I've just had a hatred for people offensive gg'ing. On November 04 2011 08:50 Enki wrote: Offensive GG's are the worst. I will force them to kill every single building after that, so fucking bm. I still don't gg that much. There is just not alot of instances where I can say, "yeah you played good, you really earned this win, gg." I feel it is a quite friendly exchange especially after a decent game where both of you put in a good effort. Of course, sometimes it's a crap game and I play poorly and I GG and F10 N super fast. XD

I'll usually give the opponent(if i win) a little time to quit before i type gg back. gging to me is just customary, I feel obligated to return a gg even if they played particularly bad. What makes me rage though is when I lose, gg, and then the opponent goes out of their way to chat message me and say gg. ><

It's easy to empathize with that sentiment, but considering that you've won games previously, you should be able to appreciate the courtesy of the reply gg.
