As a long time lurker, first time poster, I have a lot of anxiety as I begin the morph from casual reader to contributor. I write this blog as I listen to Blue Sky Black Death, a band Mr. Plott himself got me into. I would just like to thank him for making Starcraft more enjoyable for me. I stay up until the wee hours of the morning to watch him play Amnesia and lose his manhood or teach me a completely new aspect of a game I've been playing for 6 months off and on now(Sorry, a late bloomer). He puts in hours upon hours of time no other caster would have the heart to do and is the uncle we all wish we could have. Being a noob and trying my absolute hardest to play this game at the optimal performance capable for me can be extremely frustrating as I am quite frankly, bad at Starcraft. The days when I just feel like fuck it, I go watch a Day9 meme or Destiny's stream and all doubts about this game vanish. This community is the best in the world and Day9 makes it that much better giving what seems like one-on-one coaching to 17,000 people nearly every night and making it enjoyable for the most gosu of Koreans to the most lowly Americans is quite a task but he pulls it off with his own flair of grace.. As a bad player who has files upon files of notes on build orders you really appreciate the moments when you learn something new and can't wait to hop on Battle.net to try it on YABOT. Things like learning a new build order that counters that build that seemingly all douchebags do and grinding it out for an hour until you know it inside and out is what makes this game great. Going into a random game and having a discussion on the latest GSL matches with a stranger who may be all the way across the country makes this game great. And joining a game to see those dreadful words"Do you know what day it is?" make this game great. And to conclude my first ever post; I'd just like to say thank you Day9, for making our days a little brighter, and our play a little more gosu.

His recent dailies on MVP, Naniwa, and NesTea's playstyles are quite good.

I'm especially happy he chose Naniwa as the protoss equivalent of MVP and NesTea, possibly because MC and Huk don't play safe beginner-friendly styles and there aren't many replays available of some of the newer Korean tosses like Puzzle.

As a protoss player I really enjoyed his Naniwa daily because it was more about scouting and knowing when to attack rather than the insane micro other protosses like SaSe or HuK seem to rely on in a lot of their builds. While he doesn't always go into the greatest depth in his dailies I think for his audience he does a wonderful job, and certainly every nonpro could learnat least one new thing a week if they sit through some repetition.

Tonight he just did Select vs. MVP lmao.

OP: Day[9] and the other StarCraft personalities really do make this community and game a million times more interesting and entertaining Totally with you on that one!

I was fortunate enough to meet Day[9], Artosis, Tasteless, djWheat, and a whole bunch of players at MLG Columbus. They're soooo nice in person

And yes, Day[9] got me out of silver. Once you get out of cheese-land, the game is infinitely more enjoyable, and it was Sean who got me into the whole addiction to getting better and improving yourself. And Daily 100 is arguably one of the best 2 hours of my life (besides some things that I don't think I can mention on TL).
I hate when people compare SC2 and rochambeu. One race isn't fucking supposed to counter another one. | Protoss isn't OP. Their units on the other hand....

Damn, I had no idea day9 played Amnesia! I gotta watch that when I come home:D

I played through that game with a few friends during the night and it was definitely the scariest, most awesome single-player experience I've ever had, and it's always funny to watch others go through that same experience (especially if its sean, as he's already so funny ;9)

Edit: haha, I just watched it.. that was hilarious!

Thank you Sean, for all the wisdom and entertainment :D

Indeed! Whenever anybody disrespects any of Mr. Plott's work I feel the urgent need to relieve them of their manhood. He's really one of the nicest, friendliest, smartest, funnies, most awesome people in eSports. He also contributes by helping basically everybody of every level become better.
