Introduction, purpose of this blog :
Hello, this blog is about my journey on SC2, as i am a total newbie do this game, and never had any online RTS experience before. I hope that it will heLp maybe someone WhO iS in the same situation as i, as i (and you, master-league reader) will try to give advice about the common situations a noob can be in (it will be general advices, i'm not good enough to give technical advice (but the readers can do it and post them). So here we go...
Starter edition :
Before buying the game i tryied out the "Starter Edition", did the campaign on the account of a friend and watched a lot of videos and stuff, especially Day [9] TV, a Really, Really great web TV, lots of fun and lots of advices (Noobie Tuesday is just awesome), i watched also "Pomf et Thud", a french web TV about Starcraft 2 (replays and BO).
The "Starter Edition" is great as you can try the singleplayer version and also the multiplayer mode, even if there are some limitations it's still a great deal if you wanna have an idea of the game.
After watching a lot of videos and played a bit in single player i tryied out the multiplayer free version and so i had to play Terran on Xel Naga Cavern, and here come the First obstacle :
it wasn't ladder matches, so i only met Silver/Gold/Diamond player and no Bronze, my first matches were a bloodbath, they really owned me hard BUT... but i keeped joking about it and asked them some advices, and this is the smartest thing you have to do :
they will crush you, that's obvious as you have played only a few games and they already have played over 9000 games, but it's a game so keep cool, try to have fun and try to improve, and joke with them about their awesomeness is (to me) the best way to still have fun (even if you lose) and to learn some stuff as the most part of the SC2 community will be glad to help you if you ask.
First ADVICE :
Stay polite, joke when you lose but ask some advices.
ex : a guy in diamond league did a silly technique (proxy pylone and stuff) and owned me hard, but i laughed about it and he gaved me advices and wanted to play another game with me.
(Next Chapter : Beginning in the real multiplayer mode)
