I saw Mr. Chae, I had to do a double take because I always thought he was really tall! I went up to him and said thank you in korean (i dont know korean at all, I'm half japanese, but my friend knew a tiny amount and told me to say it to him), to which he started talking a million miles a minute in korean. To which I had to reply omg i dont know korean! It was very funny, but I totally told him I loved him and what he's doing. If there's anyone we as a community need to be thanking and impressing upon when he comes overseas, it's Mr. fucking Chae! I had my Razer handbag that I got for free (funny story, while i was outside with my friends who were berating me for trying to get free shit, a razer employee came up to me and said 'hey man you a fan of razer?' because he saw my razer hat that i won, and gave me the razer sc2 zerg messanger bag lol) signed by destiny, which was cool. He said "you sure you want me to sign that, it's like $70", to which I said "uuuuuuh i already took it out of the box". He probably thought I was a weirdo, because I had this free razer hat on, my blizzcon lanyard and pass, this huge razer bag, a big poster tube... and an ice cream cone.

I'd guess somewhere around 10,000 people watching Starcraft during the finals. It was really an awesome event. Like the OP said, everyone there was super friendly and happy to hold seats for each other. I sat down to some guys and was chatting with them during the GSL finals. The guy on my left was cheering for MMA (as was I), and the guy on my right was cheering for MVP. Every time MMA pulled off a big move me and the guy next to me were barely able to stay in our seats and kept screaming our heads off. When the players first came out they walked down the rows by all the fans. Both me and the guy on my right to me managed to give MVP a high five. He kept talking about how he couldn't believe he actually just walked by. Saturday night I talked with Dustin Browder (yes, the Dustin Browder) about the games. Someone asked him if he ever imagined starcraft 2 having such a devoted following and he said he never dreamed it would get that big. It's really hard to explain to someone who wasn't there, but the sheer level of intensity and excitement from the crowd was fantastic. It easily beat out any other sporting event I've ever been to. For those of you who are big E-SPORTS fans, if you can make it to a blizzcon you really need to go. There really is no better experience for watching pro starcraft.

anyone knows how big the audience was at blizzcon 2011? what you see in the VODs, of the huge crowd, in the chairs? Well, double it, because that many people were standing behind them. THEN, double that, because there was an entirely separate main stage that was completely packed, that was the same size. I would say over 85% of blizzcon attendees were there. Just a few wow fanatics who weren't, but I think almost everyone at blizzcon showed up. The Blizzcon invitational finals had a few less people, I'd say about 60% of all people at blizzcon. but the sheer level of intensity and excitement from the crowd was fantastic. It easily beat out any other sporting event I've ever been to. The ground was fucking shaking man! The energy during the GSL finals was just so damn intense. Remember how loud the crowd got when they said "ARE YOU READY". Only for Tastosis to say after the loudest cheer in the history of e-sports "sorry guys... sound issue.... looks like we won't be starting until a few minutes" lol.

Great read! Totally jealous of all your autographs, haha. So many great stories and tales and epics coming from Blizzcon - hahaha epics, get it? - that it makes me wish I could have gone. Curse you full time job, curse you being so far away! Next year. Yes, next year!

It was my first time at such event and it couldn't be more epic. I was amazed by how many people were actually there and the the atmosphere filled with cheering and excitement. Of course i managed to get Whitera's autograph. I wish i could go to blizzcon. QQ I missed WhiteRa by mere moments at Blizzcon. T_T I am such a fan of that guy's play.
