So this year I entered 11th grade at the school I'm currently attending, but my only friend there went to another school. The school I currently go to, is mostly dominated by russian speakers(due to the location). Now, I don't have a problem with them being russian speakers, but the thing is that I don't really understand russian(my native tongue is estonian), and some teachers don't even speak estonian.
Because of me not understanding russian, and not being a social person, I was bullied when attending 10th grade. Now it has stopped(I think), or I'm just not aware of it.
Anyways I've been thinking about changing schools. I really don't know if I should do it. The good things about it would be, that there would be mostly native estonian speakers and a friend. But I have also been thinking if there's really any point in it, because I'm not very social and I would also be embarrased when I should go to swimming lessons(17, can only swim backstroke or be Titanic T_T). I would probably be behind in studies also.
What to do???? It's driving me nuts.

1) switch schools
2) learn to swim
You really have a good reason to switch school unlike many others who are complaining. I suggest you do it because you might make something out of your 'childhood' while you still can. On a schale from crap to roses you are in crap situation.

Well you didn't really list any drawbacks to switching schools. Is the location suitable? Are you able to switch quickly and without hassle? If so, then go for it. Swimming will come later, I doubt you will be as embarrassed with your friend being there with you. Social skills will grow with you being amidst Estonian native speakers and all.

Well the school is like 5 minutes away, when taking a buss. The school, if I understood correctly would let me go there after the first term out of 4 ends, or right away, while the term is still going on.
I can't really think of any drawbacks, except for me being super scared about doing anything.
Hmm, I think a problem would be me being ahead in some parts, and behind in other parts of studies.

I think if the location is reasonable there are no cons to switching schools.
Its important to be able to speak the same language as your teachers.
Swimming is fun and easy once you get the hang of it. I would do it in your spare time if your really nervous about swimming in front of other people.

I think the least of your problem is friends. You can't communicate with some of the teachers? wtf?

Hmmm....Ya screw going to a school where you don't understand the majority of whats being said. I went to a school with a small but decent sized mexican population (my class had less than 120, and less than 90 graduated) but still my school was small as shit. And it was really annoying just to have them chattering away in spanish or laughing while muttering shit in spanish to eachother that you don't understand at all.
I couldn't even think about dealing with that if it was the majority.......

I think you should switch schools. It should be much more enjoyable for you to be able to at least understand what is happening around you x.x

So I told my mom that I wanna change schools and I thought that she's gonna call next week or smth, but no, she called instantly. Now I have to go to an interview at the school in a few hours. I'm scared shitless and thinking about not going. I don't see anything bad about going, but my shyness is kicking in. I'm so scared of new things. T_T

I'm not trolling. That's just how nervous I can get about something which involves new people or big changes. T_T. The only reason I posted this on TL, is because none of my friends are on this site(afaik) and I needed to get this off my heart. Oh well, maybe next week or month.

Going to school where you don't really get along with anyone + have to deal with bullies on top of that is terrible, speaking from experience. You'll probably regret it for a long time to come if you don't switch. Have your parents come along with you, it'll help - and really, it's no good putting up with crappy conditions like this.

After watching tons of motivational videos, listening some songs, and reading some books related to psychology, I finally did it. x_x

Don't think too hard, just go out there and be yourself - as long as you stay honest and true to yourself, you won't have problems finding new friends with similar aspirations and interests. Good luck!
