Wow. Thanks for the heads-up, I kinda stopped watching Blood C after... episode 2 or 3. But I was planning to watch the rest of it. Well... not anymore.
|
I thought this thread was about a super rare blood type or something.
|
Yeah, I can't believe they took 10 episodes to get to that episode rofl. God, twists of these kind are absolutely the worst. I just watch it for fun though.

It does not hold up at all to what Blood + set up

I called it from episode 2. I was expecting some sort of BS like this, also totally called
+ Show Spoiler +Fumito being the Big bad. He was just too perfect.
To be perfectly honest, it was refreshing and totally unexpected. I would expect that things get more interesting from here on out since we know exactly what's going on. Although from this episode the ending seems pretty obvious to me, but after that crazy U-turn in the plot I'm not sure what else they're going to randomly decide to throw in next.
I am definitely going to finish this series, if only because the + Show Spoiler +Elder Bairns still exist and they have always been the focus of the show in the first place. Saya being one of them was also entirely possible from the beginning, I mean what kind of normal kid has red eyes?

I know what you mean, but how could you not seeing this coming from like episode 2 or 3? From the very beginning, I watched it solely for Nana Mizuki but as expected, she gets the main role in a terrible anime. I was just laughing at episode 11 for being so ridiculous, especially the random character bickering.
But yeah, fall season is looking to be very strong overall. Should make you forget all about the horror of Blood-C. Ironic since it should've had horror qualities but...everything was censored lol. + Show Spoiler + Actually now it all makes sense. All the deaths were censored cause nobody died!

+ Show Spoiler + I think from the previous episodes it was obvious that Fumito was behind this. Also Tadayoshi was an Ancient One who drank blood. Also that Kanako had no good intentions. But I did NOT expect this.
My guesses were that Saya was an Ancient One as well. Or perhaps half human half Ancient One, which agreed with the (implied) fact that Tadayoshi was an Ancient One and her mother had been missing the whole time. She made a pact with Fumito (or unwillingly through someone else) as an experiment to see if Ancient Ones and humans could co-exist.
In fact I would say that this would have been a better story line. CLAMP made it way too ridiculous.
+ Show Spoiler +I think what will happen now is that Tadayoshi will be revealed to be the Ancient One who was with Fumito during the flashback. Furthermore, it looks like the "main cast" will be eaten by that Ancient One next episode.

+ Show Spoiler + The one thing that REALLY bugged me was that they said they "faked dying". Like what the hell? What does that charm even do? How does she see them get speared through and they live but at the same time they're afraid of the Elder Bairns. Yeah, no shit I didn't expect them to come back to life because it doesn't even make any sense the way they did it.

I meant how did you not expect it be stupid and ridiculous to the point of frustration that you had to vent your feelings out in a blog. As far as plot expectations go, I agree with you. Knew Fumito was the mastermind and Tadayoshi, the teacher, and Tokizane were involved somehow. But having everyone come back to life and that the entire town was part of the experiment was just way too out there to see coming.
If anything, they rushed the plot in episode 11 way too much to the point where the characters literally spent the entire time explaining what was happening while being incredibly annoying. Everything else aside, it's pretty ridiculous when characters actually explain all the plot details to the audience -_-

+ Show Spoiler +Right. The town could still be an experiment WITHOUT those people coming back to life. Also Itsuki was not dead yet, so he could have played a more important role. I feel that the plot could have developed just as well without reviving these characters.
Frankly, they are all kind of lame anyways. Tokizane was in it for the money. Nono and Nene were in it because they commited some sort of crime. What the hell?! For a story seemingly so deep, these are totally lame characters.
The biggest part of this was that by showing that all of Saya's classmates were actors, 99.99% of the character development between Saya and her classmates were invalidated. This is especially true for Tokizane and Itsuki. The only values left from Episode 1 to 10 were Saya's conversations with the other Ancient Ones before she killed them.
