Hey! I just switched from protoss to zerg last week, its been going really well! Im going to start streaming today probably around 16.00/17.00 CET, i will try to stream as much as possible! I wont only play durring that stream time, i will also commentate what im doing and why im doing that and some tactics, this can help you abit and might be fun.
Well i have been beating some diamonds in EU so i would say plat-diamond perhaps, however in ladder ive been playing against some gold cause of the race switch so my MMR is fucked up atm
I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors.
Why did you switch?
Thanks!
Well thing is if you have been following my blogs (not that im assuming you have im no ret ) you would know that a while back when i started to play i asked for help a coach/mentor to help me out. At that time i was playing zerg (but probably like silver level), however i did have some experiance with protoss and liked toss aswell but liked zerg abit more however the guy that was dedicated and took the time to help me could only coach protoss, so i went for protoss. It went really good and i got to plat level really fast, started to win against european diamonds aswell as masters in tournaments but lost against stupid builds in ladder. After that moment on i felt that i wanna play zerg to try it out and try to remember why i liked it more then toss before. When i tried i rememberd and got infested by the queen of blades and joined the swarm and i dont regret it at all. Feels like it suits me alot more.
Sorry for the autobiography but i wanted to make this short but i keept on talking hehe.

My God am I terrible.
why does no one ever switch to terran, seriously its the most frustrating race to play against (ty bitbybitprime) and no one switches to it lol
that said, i'd switch to zerg from protoss if i were to switch, but i like protoss and i dont want to really go through relearning the basic mechanics of a race T_T

Waai waai! I started (ofc') with terran. Then tried zerg - got ROFLstomped all day everyday. And last but not least started my affair with protoss. Now after slowly getting my stuff into gear, albeit slowly, I'm starting to realize the reason why I just didn't like playing terran. It's the base macro. Just like you. I've thought hard why (!) and in the end I'm not 100% sure, but some of it maybe because of the MULE versus chronoboost mechanics. Chrono is a 1 click boost and also can be that "Oh, god I need that upgrade/unit faster!" saviour, versus a more micro management intensive (need more skills, I admit) MULEing and benefits only minerals, just minerals, not gas or anything else. So more prevalent thing was that I ended up floating minerals with terran than with protoss. And that's not great at all. But all that is just one reason that may have been the reason why I disliked the 'terran way'. But that one thing is the only thing I can actually pinpoint.
I will try to see your stream then. Must be interresting.
I actually agree with you about that a one base terran will have more money then a one base protoss. However terran and protoss have a more "misstake friendly" macro system, where zerg isnt as much "friendly" towards misstakes. With that i mean that if a protoss misses a chrono boost or if a terran misses a E-mule, theres not a big problem you can drop two mules at the same time cause of energy. You can put down two forges to spamm chrono for some upgrades or spam it on robo/stargate cause of the energy. For z if you miss the injection you cant do it "later" and all will be fine cause your larva will be really late. Im not saying that macro as zerg is harder cause its not! however one misstake is a bigger deal for a zerg then for a terran or a protoss. For zerg you also need to consider that when you make a building or a defensive building it instantly means you need to replace that unit asap, some might think this is good and i agree sometimes, however it is only good if you master that system correctly (make the drones in advanced to compencate for the losses) the case with terran and the building time it takes for scv´s to build is that the mule compencates with the losses. With why the protoss have the warp in buildings might be a compencation for the expensive units that the protoss have compered to the other races. (More effekted early on to the game then later)
The main reason why i dont like terran too much is that the macro system of baracks/factory and the starport. Itss really a preferance thing and what you as a player feel, cause i feel like home when i play zerg Its just such a wonderful race!
