So today 1.4.0 hit NA, I didn't ladder on monday or tuesday on SEA because I didn't want to dl the new patch.. So now today when I did I get unplayable lag, and upon looking at a thread on TL I was told that my razer banshee's were causing my lag.. yay.
Now the last headset I was using I borrowed off my sisters boyfriend.. and I don't have speakers, because well.. I've always used a headset.. So playing sc2 with no sound just makes me sad.. So I'm not really going to play all that much today.. maybe here and there when I take out my headset. On the weekend I bought Magicka with a real life friend and we've been going about pewpewing goblins and the likes, really awesome fun game, when he doesn't kill me with lightning bolt or crash to desktop ;_;
Monday and Tuesday were pretty productive days on NA, I actually played like.. 5 hours straight both days from 7-12 pretty much, and then played like 3-5 when my friend logged in. I didn't do any tournaments because I didn't feel like it. I watched GSL too!
So my plans for today in terms of productivity is to watch day9 play D3, Random streams, SotG, GSL. I actually skipped going to the gym because it's like 24 degrees outside. It's soooo hot. I can't really stand the heat, never have been able too so I sit inside with a fan blowing in my face ^^;
Over the weekend I played sc2 too.. I was planning NOT to play over the weekend at all, but my friends insisted I played with them in tournaments etc, so I played for around 4 hours on Saturday and didn't play on Sunday. I watched a ton of D3 let's plays(yogs, ahnaris and husky) as well as idiolize all the cool dead island things. I want dead island, but I'm going to go on a fishing trip on the 4th to the 8th, so I miss gstl finals and the first(well the first one I know of) barcraft in Sydney I would of really enjoyed going to. I've always wanted to go to a lan or a barcraft to meet up with some fellow nerd brethren but I haven't really had the chance too as when I always feel like doing it nothing is coming up and I keep forgetting when they do come up so it makes me feel pretty crap that I miss yet another event I would of liked going too.
Since my computer is meant to run sc2 and other games easily on ultra I wanted to check up on some temps of my hardware, and my cpu is running idle at 50-60 degrees while my graphics card is at 30. I don't think this is really normal as I noticed when I had sc2, sc2 gears, and a few chrome windows opened it was at 80 degrees, which seems way too hot. Should I pull apart my computer and see if I need to replace the heat sink or what? I don't think that high tempretures are normal.. I don't know if I have my cpu overclocked either, I bought it second hand, and I believe he said that he had overclocked the cpu to run at like 2.8(it's a intel 2 quad core q6600 2.4 ghz cpu). How do I find out and how do I put the cpu back to factory defaults? I'd take it it's in the setup screen? My motherboard is some overclocking specialized motherboard according to the internet when I was looking at the value of the raw components when I was thinking of buying it(I'd tell you what it is but I can't actually remember). I'm no hardware expert because I've mainly focused on the software part of computers. It seems more enjoyable if I wanted a career out of it, but that's a story for another time. Any computer gurus got any thoughts of why the cpu is running at 50-60? Or is that pretty normal?
Any ways, if you want to play some Magicka or sc2 with me just drop me a pm and we'll go from there ^^
Thanks for reading once again!
