Wow, that's a pretty small stove for Korean BBQ. It's better to go to an all you can eat Korean BBQ place with a built-in table grill. The quality of meat will be less, but...it's all you can eat. No mention of kimchi...you should definitely try it if you have never done so before. It's more of an acquired taste, but it quickly becomes an addiction. Goes good with everything!

Nomnomnom

I love the jiggaes- doenjang my fave hands down. I don't like the normal clear soup types.

Looks delicious, I need to stop opening food threads this late at night.

I just moved to a heavily korean part of my city and have been meaning to try out all the restaurants around but have no idea where to start or what to get. I am open to trying just about any food and I am sure i could find any korean dish around here. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Man... I wanted to rate 1/5 out of spite. :D
It's been so long since I've gone to Korean BBQ, but I have a feeling I'll be correcting this soon. Delicious pictures man!
StormSnarl, I feel ya man... time to go microwave some hot pockets. ~_~

Yes Korean food is delicious and for sure one of my top 3 cuisines.
In my opinion, much more to my taste than Japanese or indeed Chinese food (although sushi is the best thing ever!)
I'm surprised they let you cook your own meat though. I know it's the proper way to do it, but I went to a Korean bbq place here in my town and they wouldnt let us cook it ourselves. The waitress had to come over and awkwardly cook it in front of us. When I asked her why, I was told because of stupid UK health and safety regulations.
For fuck sakes...

Dude, my mouth, you're torturing it so much, want some T_T

There any asian marts nearby? Man, you should really go to a korean BBQ sometime. I know, come to MLG and then go to one at the same time! (Queue Artosis and Tasteless "at the same time!")

She put the meat on the cooker's and turned them on for us and came by a few times to check on how we we're doing. Does that count?

Coquitlam has a huge plaza deticated to all things Korean. The Korean community is massive in coquitlam as they have their Korean day festival in Blue Mountain park yearly.
