My PvT sucks. Im sitting around the top of platinum league, hitting diamonds, but i have less than 5% win rate vs terran. My PvP and PvZ have improved quickly with focus on them, and i understand both matchups pretty well i think, though i 4gate every PvP because simply at this level i have not seen anybody legitimatly hold it off, my PvZ has expanded into a variety of strats, 3gate sentry expand, 1gate star expand, ffe into various timings or quick third, and i can play effectively at any point in the game, scouting and reacting to what i see, however, i just dont know where to start vs T.
I have been opening pretty much every game with 1gate expand, and it is VERY rare for a terran to kill me or deal massive damage in the early game, but he keeps up with my economy using mules, and seems to be impossible to pressure or counterattack, meanwhile scanning me every couple minutes and countering whatever i do. I have experimented a lot with zeal/archon and colossi styles, as well as deathball, but the only thing i have had any success at all with is crazy all ins before the stim timing.
I have used 2gate robo as an opener as well, but overall it feels like i am just missing something in the matchup, i dont know how to react to what i scout, i can NEVER predict the terrans economy (made worse by the fact that diamond terrans let their cc hit 150+ energy quite often, and then mass mule) and it always feels like i am just scouting a push coming, saying "oh, he has X of that unit" and then trying to deal with it. That often works, but recently more terrans have been mass expanding, xelnaga 4 base before 20 minutes, and it seems that every time i attack into stimmed bio and bunkers i just loose, and mass repair on planetary fortress allows him to destroy my army even if i am 50+ supply up if i engage anywhere near it.
I was going to practice PvT more, re-read all the guides etc, but i think i should really draw the line here, i am 60% winrate on ladder even though i have not beat a terran in the last fifty games, my PvP and PvZ winrates are blowing up my MMR so much that terrans are getting better and better and i could never beat them in the first place, matches are becoming so one-sided that i dont actuly learn anything anymore.
If anyone has any spare time to help out an aspiring protoss player, please add me on skype @ arcblade_tank so we can talk sometime and maybe play practice games on eu, im just lost atm
thanks for reading

If a Terran is keeping up with you in econ after taking little damage doing 1gate expand, you aren't building enough probes. If you are unable to pressure or counterattack, you probably aren't using your warpgates efficiently either.
Doing zealot/archon build is also upgrade intensive, with a heavy reliance on +armor.
Try getting 1gate expo into 3gate robo (for observer), while continuously building probes to saturation and macroing off your warpgates. Don't forget to add the twilight council relatively early on to get charge, and keep chronoing your upgrades.
Expand after you hold off an attack from Terran and stay ontop of chronoed upgrades and warpgate production.

Personally, against Terran I usually opt for a DT expand.
Once the DTs have done their damage, I will throw up more gates, a robo, and a TC as well as taking a third pending on what they are doing. From here I will go double forge and chrono the shit out of them, while building Zealot/Archon.
With the help of CB, you should be quite a bit ahead of Terran on upgrades. If you scout that they're sitting on 1/1 while you have 2/2, consider going in for a kill. If they have too many units, sit back and just try to max out.
After a fight, if neither one of us can finish the other off, I will go right into 3 robo Colossi. From most of my games, Terrans have no clue that I am making a huge tech switch like this and generally die to it before they can even get enough vikings out to counter them.
Just my experience with PvT. I feel my PvT is quite solid and that they aren't too difficult to deal with most of the time.
I would also suggest looking into Phoenix openings perhaps.

Hey man I can send you a replay once I get home but my standard opener pvt is a 1 gas 3 gate zealot./stalker expand. I recommend that you try this but it relies on having decent stalker micro. It stomps 2 rax pressure as long as you don't let them get a bunker up and focus fire the marauders.
For mid/late game I got chargelot HT with 2 forges.
Basically with PvT I don't attack until i get like 20 gateways and some high templar. I think terran has a advantage in the midgame in most situations but I feel P has the advantage once the game goes on longer as they can reinforce easier with.
Let me know if you have any questions, hope this helps.

pro tip will get you from x league to masters minimum.
Stop making stalkers. Only make them if you have to.
