Heyho,
At first: Sorry for my bad english.. I'm 16 :D.
I want you to tell my Story of my iPad:
Since the iPad is available to buy, I wanted to have one. I remember when Steve Jobs entered the stage and showed us: The iPad *-*!

With 16 years it's very hard to get so much money to buy one. So worked hard for my money, I jobbed in a supermarket, saved my pocket money and watched everywhere to get a fair prize... At the end the birthday money enabled me to buy the iPad. A used one, but for 400€ you can not complain.
So I bought it... And every f**kin day I checked my mailbox... And finally.. after 3 looooooooong days it was here.
And as I usually do with my new unbelievable PC's, Laptops or Apple Products my iPad got a name: Jessica <3

Jessica felt immediately at home probably.
With Jessica my entire life changed.
In the School
At first school day this year I took Jessica with me (well I take Jessica everytime with me). My teacher (hard apple fan) was very happy that he is no longer alone with his iPad..immediately I asked him if Jessica and his iPad could not even play together.. for some reason he didnt accept.. but well no problem..
My classmates were (of course) jealous. Now Jessica is more famous than Brad Pitt on our school. Everybody wants to play with her.
In the train
Like every german pupil, I have to drive with the train to the city, or school or at home. Jessica is always with me. Sometimes I play with her in the tram or listen to music... Like last Friday. I came back from celebrating at a disco and heard music with her and played a game, called "Angry Birds". After some minutes the first persons talked to me and asked question about Jessica. After it was too intimate for me, I left the train.
Well this is the story of my Jessica...! And I have still beautiful days with her *__*!!!
I know I am suffering a loss of reality.. but Jessica is like my little daughter.. but theres no mum.. hm...
well I stop writing now, because Jessica is tired.. me too and Jessica wanted to show me page called: www.youp.. oh guys I have to leave now.. bye! 
PS: In the future I will write more stories of my life.. and some Interviews with Progamers

Whats the point?
An Ipod Touch or a phone can pretty well do everything a tablet can? I just don't understand why anyone would get one..
I've had some pretty good success in the attention department with my 1st gen Ipod Touch but it quickly faded when everyone was holding one.

I've got a Jessica too... I take her with me everywhere I go, and she brings me a lot of joy. She didn't cost me a penny either.

Well I think the main reason was: I wanted to be online mobile.. cause I'm not very often at home just in the morning and evening. I had already an iPod.. but it has no UMTS.. just WLAN.
I also was looking war an eBook, and the iPad is the perfect way to reading books and being online.
At first I wanted to buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab, but you cant buy it in Germany at the moment. In the Internet the iPad was not more expensive than the Galaxy Tab, so I bought the iPad. Apart from that I'm a Apple Fan, I really like their products (and yes I know they're to expensive :D).
I'm owner of a HTC mobile, so there was no reason to buy an iPhone 4 or 3. I am also a friend of Android.. so I'm happy with all pf my products and with Jessica of course <3.
Its not because of the attention... I'm no "attention whore".. of course I'm proud when people ask me about her (iPad), but I didnt buy Jessica, because I need attention :D...

Well John already put his cable into Jessica.. and John talked something about iTunes and synchronisation... but I think there was a good reason..... hopefully. I should ask him or her about this..

Hm good question... I call them after a hard system:
1. I get the product
2. I kiss the product
3. Now I know: male/female
4. I'm sleeping in one bed with the product
5. I have a name
I think with iBoard it will be hard to handle in the bed... And till 2014 I need a new bed.. because the iMat is a little bit taller than Jessica. :D

that's how i felt too, but my mom uses one and its cause ipod screen is too small and hard to see. the ipad is extremely light and portable (i used it as a carry around music player for a couple weeks) for its size. i actually like the ipad screen a lot better too, if i carried a big bag around with me everywhere i would prefer the ipad, but since i usually have a smaller one or just pockets, the ipod touch is better ^^

I thought it was useless when it came out; I was like LOL BIG IPOD TOUCH.
A few weeks ago I got an iPad 2 and it's a world of difference. Media is just so much better and you can actually read stuff without having to put your iPod/Phone in your face.

Well, the iPad always struck me as some kind of oversized iPod Touch, which in the end it is. The iPad, together with the Mac Pro are mysteries to me as to why people buy them. I bought myself a cheap Creative tablet to get a feel for tablets but apart from watching movies when I was on vacation, it's seen little to no use. I find my macbook much comfortable to work on when sitting in the couch (and it supports flash). The mac pro is just a horrible overpriced desktop computer.

You are right, the devices are essentially the same, but the size really makes a difference. You can read and type more comfortably. Its easier to target things and do precise movements, especially if you have big hands (its so much better to play Cave's games on an iPad). The extra screen surface has its obvious advantage for drawing programs, or can be used to display more information (Mail, Safari, iWork), and there are applications that benefit from using more than two fingers (virtual keyboards, music, etc).
Also, it may not sound like much, but how certain widgets and dialogs are implemented on the iPad compared to the iPhone really shows that Apple just didn't move things as-is, and put some thaught on using the extra screen available.
In essence, you get an ultraportable computer, lighter and easy to carry than most laptops out there, with days worth of battery life, no heat nor fans, no hinges, and the iPhone's straightforward workflow, which is more than enough (and arguably more efficient) for many common things.
It has become my main computer, as long as I don't need to do work-related or "specialized" tasks. For everything else, I just grab the iPad sitting in my couch.
