Ow for CS majors everywhere. Again, that may not be entirely accurate, but there are a lot of problems in high tech industries. Makes me reconsider. I really have no preference at this point, but would like to end up somewhere where the I have at least some choice.
Another factor is cost. U texas is a tad expensive. U wash is a little better, both have reasonable programs :/ It's hard to decide exactly where to apply with so many variables.
Right now at USC I'm leaning towards
The combined Bachelor of Science degree program in Computer Science/ Business Administration offers qualified students the opportunity to gain an educational foundation in both areas. Students must meet the admission requirements for both, the Computer Science department and the Marshall School of Business. The degree is administered by the Computer Science department.
But at UCs I really don't have a good idea. Sure, Cal, UCLA, and even schools like UCSB have good (at least decent) programs in at least econ and CS. And being pre-haas is awesome, but now they are tightening up entry requirements a lot. I'd also like to pick up a history/E asian studies minor if I go to a UC. But with how shitty courses are it's looking unlikely I'd do it in four years --> fail.
UCSB has a good computational econ major, but it's a BA instead of BS. HOw big of an impact is that. And how employable are flat out econ majors in the marketplace? The average salary seems OK, but a lot of people have gone to law school/MBA stuff. Dunno. How to Econ majors stack up? U Chicago Econ would be awesome. I'd do that, but acceptance/having enough money is up in the air.
And essays... annoying. But in any case
SC fail. I dind't play for a long time. Returned to terran. Can't win with 1-1-1 can't win with bio, can't win with anything. lol. My SC2 mechanics are fail. I get into BW and I have D+ mechanics (from like a year and a half) But I play sc2 and I don't utilize any of them.
Also hellions are annoying as hell, tvz is good cause I have a build, and all the protosses are four gating constantly to stop 1-1-1 (or 1 gate fe...) Anyways. I've been doing thorzain style, but looking at reps I just don't ahve enough stuff. I suck at getting out enough stuff. Oh well. I do well in life and do poorly in SC.
Oh. And I haven't practiced korean for forever. Even though I do know the really basic grammar now, and am using anki I'm having a lot of trouble learning enough vocabulary to build on itself. I literally know like 60 words, and have lost motivation to keep on rote memorizing.
Best get back to it second semester at least.
