I can't express how happy I am right now. I've just finished my exam session and am now eligible for my bachelor's if I'll manage to defend my thesis soon.
I was so stressed, had to pass one conditional exam (when you fail an exam twice you can take a conditional, which means you move on normally but must pass this exam in the next year/semester or you're out of the uni) which was damn hard. Even the prof said this subject has no place at the third year because the material is huge, there are no textbooks for it and it's better suited for people going for a PhD. I've failed this exam for a total of three times so this was my last chance to do it or 3 years of uni would go out the window.
Anyway, this time I hit the questions I could actually answer (institutions, Davis-Moore functional theory of stratification, research on nomenklatura and elites in Poland, Hungary and Russia in 1988 and 1993) and thought I did ok. After we turned in our exams (had to write at least 3 pages for at least 2 out of 3 questions) the prof invited us to his office to hand us the results. He referred to my work as "the best" and "standing out", I got 3= (3 with two minuses, the lowest score you can pass with)... A prick move on his side as some girls started crying at that point (there were quite a few people tackling this exam for the fourth time like me, only 2 passed).
God, it was such a stressful day. I'm glad it's over and I can move on with my education. It's the first time in my life I had so many problems with any exam (the only exam I had to repeat). Now it's time to get wasted!

Yeah, now my only problem is that I have 2 weeks to finish my thesis, get a review and defend it and my promoter is on vacation...
The good news is, that there's still 64 vacancies for the master's degree so I'll most likely be allowed to get it done later (being good friends with dean will help too).

Well to comfort you at least a little bit at least in Canada it is nearly impossible to fail at the defense part. So don't stress about that. As long as the thesis isn't really bad you should be fine.

I'm not stressed about the defense. The problem is getting my promoter to check it and reviewer to review it in time.
Also, my sleeping schedule has been fucked due to this god forsaken exam...

So your prof pretty much told the whole class in person that you were the only one who passed?
Fucking harsh man shit it sucks to be the rest of the class.

If you aren't experiencing these already, I can guarantee that in the future you will have recurring nightmares where you show up for an exam unprepared.
Also, your prof was a dick for saying that. Picking on other people from an unassailable position. Real classy.

I feel you man, on monday I've got my second attempt at an exam, don't wanna spend a year or half a year with a conditional patting on my back. Still it's 3.30 AM and I'm on the worst website I could be right now  . Alt+f4...

Nice...although I hate it when teachers are like "The best...was terrible. Screw you all." and hands out failing scores to everyone in their faces publicly. At least give us some dignity before we get shot down.

Sociology, but I guess you could deduct that from reading the questions I got 
And it was harsh. 21/27 people failed the first term. The other guy who passed it with me this time around got a score of 3=/2+ and according to prof "You pass because I took pity on you and other people were just terribad."
