We started watching the first movie and although the visuals aren't as stunning as the new ones we get, it defenitely had that old feeling. The action seemed kindof odd as we watched it but the thing we noticed was how much nudity there was in these movies. Don't get me wrong, it's not as bad as some of the stuff we see today but there sure was a lot of it.
After the movie, we all thought the same thing and wondered why none of us remembered these scenes. I mean, when we had about 10 years when these movies came out and the fond memories I had of these movies were of the action that showed brutal combat. And then we started thinking of recent franchises like Robin Hood that had been redone and we talked for hours how we could have never noticed all of this back in the days.
Maybe our minds changed as the generations progressed. Not only personally but socially. We are now doign video clips of hypersexualized music and using the same idea to sell jeans, food, cars, bikes... the list is endless.
Does this desensibilization make us remark more these things in movies and life in general?
What do you guys think?
