So everyone I just upgraded my computer after a lot of trouble with a broken motherboard, I finally finished. I have wiped my whole computer so I'm going to need to download a lot of stuff, but I don't want to overdo it. Just the things that are worth it. Some of my specs off the top of my head
- i7 2600k
- Asus P8P67 Pro
- GTX 295 Dual
- HaF Coolmaster 932
- Megahelms with 2 flex fans on the side
- 750 W PSU
- 12 GB of RAM
- Ton of fans inside

- 2 22" 1680x1050 Viewsonic monitors (Official MLG Xbox ones)
- Razer Black Widow Standard
- Black Steelseries QcK Mousepad
- Razer Imperator
- 2 random speakers
- Logitech G35 7.1 Headset

- Firefox
Any other helpful programs that you couldn't live without you think I should download?
And does anybody know of any sick desktop backgrounds for random players? 1680x1050. Or any cool backgrounds in general xD.
Oh and does anybody know of any boss network adapters? My old one died somehow so right now im using some crappy old one. One that can support 50 down 12 up.
PS: I upgraded from a i7 860 to the i7 2600k and from an Asus P6T to my current one because the sockets weren't right. Its not that big of an upgrade but it felt like that because I had to replace the motherboard twice haha, since the first one I got was faulty.

Yeah I use to use some of that software from www.CPUID.com when I first built my computer, but it was a ton of separate programs. Is one of those downloads on the site all of them in one?
PS: A long time ago I did this thing to my FireFox that made it load faster and open faster, does anyone remember how to do this and does it work with FF5?

RAID 0 is practically useless for a system drive, since what counts is random access speed, which aren't improved with RAID. If you need some really fast sequential transfers for dumping a raw screen capture or something like that, that's a different matter. But otherwise, you're better off with an SSD if you want to actually improve performance in a meaningful way.
With the kinds of parts you bought, I'm confused you didn't get an SSD. Or are you trying to RAID SSDs? (edit: oh yeah most of the parts were probably from before the upgrade)
